Batman Arkham Knight free with new 970/980's

I don't know much about Zotac, how's the ZT-90101-10P? It's the cheapest 970 I see on Amazon. Should I just spend the extra 12 bucks for the MSI GTX 970 4GD5T?

I asked about it earlier on here. Was told some people here have it and it seems to be fine. It will be the one I buy.

Although, from personal experience, I have had trouble with Zotac. My 760 died, and they tried to replace it with an inferior one because they couldnt find a replacement. Next day they magically found one when I refused.

Ah, I must have missed that. I think I'll go with the MSI.

Don't go for Zotac. My GTX 670 gave me so many problems even with my second replacement and yet my 5 year old GTX 275 from MSI still runs like a charm.

Been documented in detail
Didn't really keep up with it much but I guess it's not really worth it for 2 free games.

I play at 1080P, have had no problems with any games I've tried.

Does anybody know if I can see the compatilibity of a card with the mainboard? Veggie told me to measure the length, but I lack a ruler right now. Can I assume that the MSI GeForce GTX 970 Gaming 4G Aktiv fits on a AsRock H87M Pro4 or do I need to measure?

That card and mainboard will work together. What he means is measure the length of the your case, in case the card is too long and it won't fit.

Well, looks like my card is coming a day sooner than I expected so yay for Thursday. As for GTX 970 memory issue, eh... I was concerned about it but after doing a fair bit of reading I don't think it's going to be much of a problem at 1080p 60FPS which is likely what I'll be playing at for the foreseeable future and I'm not that interested in super sampling.

I'm more concerned about the coil whine issues I've read about regarding 970s, hopefully I get a good card on that front but if I do I'll try breaking it in first with a stress test or two and if need by see if VSync through the NV Control Panel will eliminate it.

I lucked out with my EVGA 970, not a single instance of coil whine.

I remember years ago when I first got my 5870s they had terrible coil whine, especially in certain games. After awhile though it completely went away.

Ah, yes, I see.
Measured from the back of the case I got the space of a comicbook with leeway or the added height and width of a standard DVD case. This looks be pretty close, but work out. Unless I have to meassure from somehwere else.

I've got a 660 and a I3-3330k was thinking upgrading to a 970. Though prefer to wait for a 1060/70 but 970 with batman would be nice.

Would I need to upgrade to an I5 or would the I3 be good enough for the game with a 970?

You'll be fine with the I3-3330k. If anything, if you haven't already, OC the chip a little bit. I'm running an old i7 920, and it works fine. Even with the i3 lacking hyper threading you shouldn't have any issues what-soever, especially with a modest overclock.

Great, that's 2 promotions I basically missed. I ordered my 970 from overclockers.uk at the end of February and about a week or 2 before I ordered, they stopped a free game promotion for 1 Ubi Soft game of choice, one of them which was Far Cry 4 that I would have liked to have and now a few months later they bring out this deal. Talk about shitty timing on my part. Oh well.

Is the code supposed to be inside the video card box or it's sent to you digitally?

I bought a Gigabyte GTX 970 from Amazon.es on thursday and I didn't get any code (the product page on amazon doesn't mention any promotion at all), but I thought I try to contact Amazon support and they told me that I should contact NVIDIA directly or in this case, Gigabyte.

I sent them a support ticket yesterday but I think i'm out lof luck :(

Got mine already in a couple e-mails from NewEgg and used them, the promotion is for all 970/980s, it not being updated on Amazon's end is their issue not Gigabyte's.

Yeah but none of those cards seems to have the promotion on Amazon.es, maybe Amazon Spain does not offer these "bundles"?

I will try to contact with amazon again today and see how it goes.

EDIT: So it seems that the batch of cards the have now was bought before the promotion, so they don't have any codes to give.

So in conclusion don't buy from Amazon.es if you want the codes.

Would this case (Silverstone Sugo SG13) fit every GTX970? I am planning to build a smallish PC for my living room and this might persuade me to get one. It is primarily build for 1080p gaming on a TV and media capabilities.

No, it won't fit every 970. It says 10.5" (266mm) max. Some 970s won't fit, some will.

Also, the Newegg Batman code worked this morning, if anyone else was getting the "not active yet" thing.

Amazon aren't listed as a participating retailer for this promotion in Spain.

Debating Newegg's Gigabyte G1 GTX 970, which after rebate is $319.99. What's the lowest price folks can reasonably expect to see on these?

So can I buy the GTX 970 from a place like Newegg, and they'll give me the codes? Or does it have to be bought through Nvidia directly?

Edit: NVM missed the where to buy page

So when do they generally give you the codes? the card and the games say "packaging" on the newegg status page, just curious how this whole thing works.

Newegg - awesome, stand up company, and why I do business with them.

I bought 980 last week, sent an email, and in 5 min had a Batman code.

Absolutely great!

It is, I redeemed mine this morning. It doesn't give you a key though, you have to sign into your Steam account through the nvidia site and it redeems the game directly to your account.

oh nice. tried to redeem mine yesterday and it said it was unavailable or something soI figured I would have to wait until closer to release.

So with a purchase of a GTX 970 or 980 you get both Witcher 3 and Arkham Knight - that is a fantastic deal!

EDIT: When does this promotion end?

Grabbed one last night, mostly for the benefit of GTAV. I was debating getting these on PC vs PS4, but maybe now I can do both and save money.

If a site selling keys isn't listed here, it's probably not an authorised seller. Building on that, if the site is selling Battle.net keys, then it's definitely not an authorised seller.
