Destiny House of Wolves Reveal Thread

There's no such thing as builds in Destiny. Sure there's unique gimmicks here and there, but exotics are pretty much 1 or 2 that are the best and that's what people use.
Yeah no. Have you played the end game a lot? Or any PvP? You have to manage your subclass and the abilities there in to best maximize gear and the challenge presented.

Is it super deep? No, that's a failing of the lack of content though.

However if you want to just brute force with a specific weapon you can, but you just make it harder on yourself.

I have 5 primaries that I rotate through, 4 specials and 3 heavies. I also have 4 different armor sets I rotate through based on modifiers.

That's just for my main character

Yo this Broman tool is making this stream unwatchable

Did anyone hear about the special perk the Vestian Dynasty sidearm had? Broman started screeching before the Bungie dude could finish his sentence.

Bungie pls activate god mode and mute Broman

think it was something vs hive, hard to hear.

The arenas looked very underwhelming visually...just dark and drab and boring.

Doesn't help that it's repeating the 2 rooms over and over. Just doesn't make any sense. So underwhelming. I've been a huge Destiny and Bungie supporter but even I have to just ask WTF.

Isn't this the hard mode? I think the matchmaking version caps at lvl 28.

Well known build:

Blade Dancer Hunter with Multi-Tool and Radiant Dance machines with a Shotgun that has the Kneepads perk.

Thats a build.

Sunsinger Warlock with a Monte Carlo makes for crazy melee times.

This is so wrong it's hard to know even where to start; you clearly don't know that you are talking about. I run six builds on my two characters, and I have a serious dearth of exotic gear.

It's really not even debatable.
Builds are generated by stacking perks and class abilities that complement each other, not necessarily stacking raw stats.

Ding.

Like I said, there's unique gimmicks that are useful but are extremely situational.

Well I can say with confidence that you have not played the endgame PvE or PvP.

Just a guess, but I probably have more time in the game than you do. Just look me up, PSN is Trakan.

I'm glad they are trying something different rather than just keep shoveling out raids, but this doesn't look great. It'll probably get me playing again, not sure how long though.

I'm only listening the audio stream. Is Broman the one who is maniacally laughing, screaming and sounding obnoxious?

If so, I don't ever want to watch his content.

Yeah, I'm a little confused. Are they just doing the same room/challenge over and over? I'm jumping in and out since I'm at work. If so, they should probably switch it up a little more.

You've played the game that much and you really think there is no different builds?

Well ok buddy. You should visit DGaf, we have guides on things like builds and what not. It might help you out!

Wait. A special handcannon? I need to see this.

Yeah, it looks like a slick 9mm.

What you call a unique gimmick is what other people call a build, I think.

It's one thing to use a tank build to enhance survivability and another to use the Hunter's invisibility perks to stay invisible as long as possible or to use armor that reloads special weapons faster.

only saw a few seconds of gameplay of that vestian dynasty space glock pistol sidearmamajigger. if that thing has high impact, it's going to be abused so bad.

edit: never mind it's the atheon's epilogue of pistols

I don't think you've ever explored synergy in the weapons and armor of Destiny.

You keep references different unique perks. The Hunter build I listed above is a build about crazy maneuverability. You can walk almost as fast as you can sprint. You can slide crazy far. Combine it with Blink and you've got the fastest build in the game.

I've been there since day 1.

And you still don't know about different builds?

Ok then.

But that's a gimmick! It's not a build! I have like 20 days worth of in game time!/s

I do wonder if Call of Duty's Create-A-Class system has a bit more depth and variety. But Destiny does have some unique builds such as:

My main Titan: In pvp I'd use "helm of the saint" or "insurmortable fort" or "armanteum" for 2 grenades. Helm of the saint blinds anyone that enters my bubble. Insurmountable Fort gives decent Striker abilities. There is also MK-44 strides which extends Shoulder charge. Sorry I misspelled all the items

Guns: Yeah the most popular primaries are indeed Red Death, Thorn, Hawkmoon (PS4), or TLW. I find myself most annoyed by Thorn

Will probably take a small break from Destiny for a bit but I really do think the game has really improved. My issue is I simply spent way too much grinding back when I was #forever29 and we were forced to farm planetary materials. Game was really bad but additive

Now it is additive plus pretty good.

Unfortunately, the devs are not doing the best job adding new content

I just closed the stream. I can tell there's no new enemies. Not sure if I'll purchase HoW right away with Witcher 3 on the horizon. But I think the game has really came a long way
