Im not expecting a lot from this.only finished final shape a few days ago and now going through the seasonal content, I'm interested in seeing the different direction they are going with updates now.
From their previous dev post, updates are going to be more frequent because it's not one big update, but two smaller ones a year, and progression isn't time gated or linear.A new abstract noun attacks and then we spend six months farming glowing triangles to put into a mobile bidet in order to level up a random artifact that makes our guns break shields.
This. The graphics must improve dramatically cause it looks dated. This game technically from 2013, Bungie must upgrade the graphics or move on from the series.
Same here.Nah, I'm done. I got my closure of 10 years with The Final Shape.
Yup. Its my most played game of all time. I enjoyed the ride. But, as TFS was really about. Its about letting go.Same here.
Second favourite game of all time. Tens of thousands of hours.
But I'm done.
I still have yet to play the previous expansion. I'm guessing Sony will put it on ps extra this summer.
D3 would mean even more content being vaulted, which would piss people off even more. My guess is whenever that comes it'll be a pretty massive update that either takes you out of our solar system or jumps pretty far forward in time to justify all the worlds and stuff being gone. They can barely keep D2 content in the game as it is.Unbelievable they didn't have D3 lined up as a teaser after the Final Shape even if it was 2-3 years out. Stick D2 on seasons building upto release.
What a fumble.
Yeah I played some of the first Echoes stuff and decided to take a break. TFS was a good ending.TFS was pretty goddamn awesome. The three episodes have been absolute ass. Am interested to see what this will be like though.

I think you misunderstood. D3 as in in a completely new game. Fresh start.D3 would mean even more content being vaulted, which would piss people off even more. Pls spoiler this.Let me guess.

Can't wait.
Yes, I've got all up to The Final Shape. Haven't touched D2 since 2019 tho'. I was mainly a Destiny PvP player and Bungie abandoned 'us' a long time ago. Were any of the expansions on ps plus before?
Yeah they've all been except the latest one. I first got into D2 when they made D2 / Warmind / Osiris all free. While I bought the rest they did all go free at some point. Were any of the expansions on ps plus before?
Quite a bit of new stuff from what I caught. New raids, Dungeons, Destinations. New Enemy variants (yawn). Amour rework.Anyone got a checklist of info for:
-New enemies?
-New weapon type at all?
-New classes at all?
-Any significant changes to gameplay loop?
All I saw today was were are giving you two expansions are year to milk money out of you…
I don't know. There's a new location and boss, so I assume there will be new enemies too.Anyone got a checklist of info for:

Not this time. But there are many new things, like a new armor system or stuff like turning you into a lighting ball somewhat similar to Metroid, or some teleport stuff.-New weapon type at all?
-New classes at all?
Narrative now will be non-linear and will keep adding chunks of different types: metroidvania, roguelites, already known stuff like raids or dungeons, etc. They also redistributed the game modes in a new menu, their difficulty/matchmaking and what is looted in each and many other things.-Any significant changes to gameplay loop?
Sounds like a patch for most games nowadays not a $40 price tag…I don't know. There's a new location and boss, so I assume there will be new enemies too.

So as of now it's hard to tell, but seems they will change several things for their post TFS era.
Expansions and major updates will include many things I didn't mention:Sounds like a patch for most games nowadays not a $40 price tag…
I think this is the idea, but also trying to get some new players (or bring some lost players back) with the soft reboot they are going now.Marathon is a side project at best and this game feels like just a means to extrapolate money from whoever is left.
