Can I use my NNID in the retail game?
What does that even mean?
What are you asking?
Can I use my NNID in the retail game?
Whoever will make the OT, please put in the rules : no voice chat drama, please because it has already been discussed deeply (once when the dev made a declaration and now with the IGN article).

oh god yes please
He's asking if his NNID will show up as his name instead of his Mii name.
And I will say no, just like every other Nintendo game with online elements (including Miiverse) on the Wii U.
This is why my Mii name is the same as my NNID and has been so since day one.
Is that a thing people worry about a lot?
Same for the motion vs sticks debate, though. That doesn't need to happen again in the OT.
Well I suppose some people want their NNID shown instead of 'Dave' or 'Dad'.
I know I'd rather be known online as Jaded Alyx than Daniel.
this is probably inevitable because as people play the game they're going to comment on the controls of the game
Change your Mii's name to your NNID while you play. Done.
lol i literally said I did this from day one just a few posts ago. I was answering a question on whether people care about this or not.

That's kinda why I was confused, though.^^
Since you can change the display name at will, why does it matter?![]()
It was meant as addendum to your post, apologies. Should have quoted Stacey.
This so much.Whoever will make the OT, please put in the rules : no voice chat drama, please because it has already been discussed deeply (once when the dev made a declaration and now with the IGN article).
There's commenting on the controls and then there's being a hyperbolic dick about it.this is probably inevitable because as people play the game they're going to comment on the controls of the game

And that even overstates how much I had to move when playing the demo. Also include this image in the OT:

That's not helpful at all because nobody does that. It's horizontal movement that's much more likely to be a genuine issue: Here's how the dev does it:Also include this image in the OT:

Was there ever a breakdown in terms of how points are awarded at the end of a match? Like, for example, how many points do you get per kill? How does ink coverage correlate with your points? I don't remember seeing this anywhere though I may have simply forgotten.
Not for the team, but you do get points for yourself and it is a part of your total at the end.You don't get points for kills. Not fully sure how the breakdown for inking translates to points yet.
The ones with OCD anywayIs that a thing people worry about a lot?

I was like trying to tilt the controller. *That* is why I was having issues with the gyro and didn't like it. It had *nothing* to do with vertical movement. That was a synch and really easy. EDIT: And I'm not the only one I've seen who tried to tilt the controller instead of moving it like that.

That would be impossible unless the whole ground is in ink with the opponents literally doing nothing. There were people with kills and 0 points.
Had the same issue I preordered on AmazonDefinitely going through withdrawal. I still can't decide where to get it from... eShop, ugly preorder bonus from GameStop, or the $5 for an amiibo coupon at Toys R Us.

People with 0 points are people who got disconnected most likely.
Speaking of which, they really need to have a bot or something replace them. Them doing nothing is terrible. At least put bots that have shitty AI like Mario Kart lol.
If people who bought and play the game have that issue I'd say that's a valid point of discussion in the OT. Not to mention I've seen mods frown on made up "no negativity" rules.Whoever will make the OT, please put in the rules : no voice chat drama, please because it has already been discussed deeply (once when the dev made a declaration and now with the IGN article).

No wonder Splatoon is such a stylish game, thenformer Art Director / Character Designer & Splatoon Game Director Tsubasa Sakaguchi![]()
There is nothing to discuss about, though. The game doesn't feature voice chat, end of story. Don't like, don't play it.If people who bought and play the game have that issue I'd say that's a valid point of discussion in the OT. Not to mention I've seen mods frown on made up "no negativity" rules.
Had a lot of fun the first hour, then quickly figured out how to break the game, played for about 10 minutes in the second hour and quit. It's a cool idea but absent major balancing and voice chat just not much fun for long. The beta sent me from almost certain buy to no buy.

I hope by "break the game" you don't mean "used the roller" ...because there'll be a rude awakening for you come launch^^
Details, details!
do tell!
seriously though
Yes exactly, I was the top scorer every match I had the roller, it's easy to splat the other players even. I hope they fix it though I won't be there at launch. I just did the same thing over and over for half a dozen matches, don't care that I was the top scorer and my team won, it became boring.
