Sure, but you're just getting caught up on terminology. It would be great if people were more precise with their words, but I don't think it's that hard to tell what style people tend to refer to these days when they are turned off by something looking "too anime." The intent behind the words doesn't seem that confusing to me.

No I want people to say what they actually mean. People throw out "too anime" in response to art-styles or designs that look almost nothing alike. As such, it becomes impossible to understand what they mean aside from "I don't like this" and it becomes even more frustrating when they blast X for something but then like Y that shares many similarities with X or try to elaborate and complain about lets say chest size when that clearly isn't an issue here. It's lazy, inaccurate and makes it hard to communicate with other since only the person who says "too anime" actually knows what they mean. If you have a critique, just say "the color palate is too bright" or something. I may agree or disagree with you but at least I know what the hell you are talking about.
