Koji Igarashi Kickstarts Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2.5D, backdash, 2018)

Haha, the gifs definitely deliver. IGA is the man!

It's funny since I care less about local co op then I do about the cheat codes. Where exactly does co op fit into this kind of game? I'd rather just play alone.

I already own it on 360 though and have free money on there (from all that gamestop shenannigans last year). I'd have to pay out of pocket for PS3.

All the stages come to:
Fuma $3
Origins $3
Lord of Flies $4
One who is many $4
Beauty Desire Situation Dire $5
Total: $19

Which of those are free on PS3?
Are any of the characters Truly worth it, also?
Beauty Desire Situation Dire, Julius, and Yoko come free on PSN version

That's a horrible stretch goal and it will backfire immediately on them. Whoever thought of that just killed any future growth for this kickstarter, good fucking job. I'm sure they will revise this stretch goal tomorrow.

What a horrible night to be Konami.

As for IGAvania I really don't think so.. Konami is seeking to steer company to somewhat different direction, and IGA's move suites them because now people won't keep asking Konami to make metrovania (that Konami don't really want to) anymore. It's a win-win situation really.

Games nowadays don't have fun cheat codes anymore. Why not add them? :P

BECAUSE IT DOESN'T COST $150,000 TO ADD THEM. People will not see any reason now to grow the budget for this project, so fucking stupid. Sorry I'm really pissed.

Edit: Holy shit, I cannot iterate enough how stupid of them this is, fucking $150,000 for cheat codes????? Are they serious... Holy shit.

I'm really not sure if this is a joke post playing off of some other bad post or not.

Are you, by any chance, a Kickstarter expert?

People DO want local co-op, they could have just NOT had a 1 mill stretch goal and only done the 1.25 mill goal for local co-op and nobody would be upset

Ty. Decided to get all the stages but not the characters.

All the DLC chapters are great, but best are 9-10. 9 being the SOTN stage and 10 being the original Castlevania one.

Also, Richter, and Julius characters are great. Join us in the Off-topic thread we're managing some times to play together

Ok, bought them all, subscribing to the community thread. Won't have time to play tonight, and I literally have not played since a month after release but I played the hell out of it. I'll play some single player to get refreshed. I remember maining soma but also using crissaegrim or something? Dunno!

Can someone PM me about the PS3 Castlevania HD tomorrow? I'd love to get in on that. I'm East Coast and I should be able to play for a while between 6:00 and 8:00.

Neogaf getting name dropped in the stream :P

New stretch goals but still nothing from the Wii U's basement! C'mon.

Anybody on the inside know what's holding up the stretch goals?

EDIT: Nevermind.

That's not Vita. ;(

Gotta go deeper into the basement :P

Local Co-Op is awesome but a $150,000 increment for cheat codes? Not feeling that one.

Again, stretch goals aren't always set at exactly hope much it would cost to make them but also to incentivize pledging

Don't link one to the other. It's not that cheat codes cost 150k, it's that co-op costs 450k and they wanted something as a bonus for getting about half way there.

Bingo!

Man, this stream sold me on Shovel Knight.

Do it bro! You'll have a great time :)

Cry more (or read what other people are saying to help you better understand what's going on :P)

No, but I'm a potential backer if I see good stretch goals, like an additional secret campaign, expanded castle, or more meaningful game growth. Fucking cheat codes??? WTF do I care? Mark my words, tomorrow they will realize their fuck up and revise the stretch goal.

You do think they should publicly apologize and cancel that stretch goal though, right?

lol

That cheat codes stretch goal is such a "What? They blew through all the other stretch goals in one day! Quick, we need more stretch goals!"

Alright, they say in the pitch video

Go alone, work coop with a friend, or battle in versus mode

Why the heck are they reselling these as stretches now? Seriously its kinda pissing me off they couldnt put more thought into this after seemingly planning so much else.

Was probably always planned. Should have been moved up though OR added alongside joke cheat codes in the achievements though so we avoid people flipping out, lol.

I think they probably have at least 6-7 more stretch goals planned not counting the 50 achievement bonus stretch goal.

Sure backfired immediately, I think they only made 50k in the, what, 25 minutes since it was revealed?

lol at people misunderstanding kickstarter.

Of course it doesn't cost 150,000 to implement cheat codes. That's not the point. It's a reward for loyalty/funding.

It is a reward, a "thank-you" if you will. Since the project is already funded, everything from now on is a bonus.
