M. Bison trailer for Street Fighter V

"Playing like SFXT would be a huge improvement over SF4."

Juicing.

Juicing never changes.

Honestly, it would be cool if more polygonal fighters depicted massive size differences the way VF does it.

In MKX 95% of the fighters seem sculpted from the same base model.

I agree. I think MKX does it that way because the hit animations for a character's move are often unique to that move in the 3D MKs where in SF there's hit animations unique to each character by situation (hit hard, uppercutted, swept).

The best animations in fighting game history were the falling animations. Q landing on his neck and bouncing is so good.

No character tease D=

Oh well, Bison looks sick. I didn't play him much in IV tbh, but he got quite the upgrade there!

Looking forward to E3. Hopefully the surprise for E3 is the reason why this video in particular doesn't have a tease.

Damn, he looks kinda nuts in this. Doesn't he have that projectile reflect in SF4s Omega mode?

And I'm digging the grey hair and long coat.

Bring on E3!

SMH Capcom... update your character designs already.

I actually thought they did a decent job with Bison. They updated his looks while keeping true to the character.

But I see where you're coming from (also read all of your posts after). Chun, for example, I feel could use a fresh look. Prolly more of a personal thing, but I feel she is looking more and more awkward with the increase in graphical quality. Ryu will probably never change from his somewhat basic look, it's too classic and recognizable.

SFxT >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> SF4

look i'm no expert, I played a lot of SF4 but I only played a little bit SFxT and I didn't enjoy it at all (the gems, the juggling, the "team" aspect). All I know is the pro scene dropped that game faster than they dropped Skullgirls so i'm guessing there was a reason

Pro scene never even tried VF5:FS so fuck what those geeks think.

Damn, he looks great.
Also, thumbs up for the clothes' animations. Is it me or there's actually some real improvements since last time we saw the game in motion?

It was good for a while but then it wound up with the same bullshit just with different teams

I disagree, but at least for some of the more recent SFxT footage from side events and replays show pretty grounded and less guessy gameplay, which is probably what a lot of people want in SFV.

I was under the impression that pros liked it but it died because it's not "hype" enough for stream monsters.

i'm also guessing there's a reason for that, I wouldn't have them go fuck themselves that quickly

and as I said I never enjoyed sfxt because of OPINIONS and stuff

eh, maybe IDK, it's pretty much like watching sf4 to some extent

Pretty much. There are structural issues with SFxT's core designs that make whiff-pushing the best thing you can do (since you're guaranteed a chain combo off a light/medium into huge damage) which makes the game hyper-defensive and not fun to play/watch.

Would strongly suspect Bison's not a charge character here based on the changes.

3 pages into a Bison thread and only a half dozen mentions of 'Bipson'. That's positive progress.

This still just looks like a fancier SFIV/SFXT. I know this take freaks people out, but it's the same Dimps SFIV engine with some updated moves and animation.

there were a lot of underlining issue's that does not simplify to just the game-play.

Why has bison got grey hair, his psycho power should make him immortal damnit

or is this more of his FIGHT YOU AT YOUR OWN LEVEL fairplay

His pauldrons are looking kinda worse for wear too. Shadaloo might have downsized and Bison just can't afford to spend money on new clones and shoulder pads like he used to.

Since the roster will be smaller, I hope character based stages make a comeback. And not palate swaps like 3S, but real unique stages like SFA3.

I gives zero fucks why "pros don't play something." Pros don't play a lot of games I love like Vampire Savior, Rival Schools, SFxT, SoulCalibur 5, Virtua Fighter.

I was under the impression that pros liked it but it died because it's not "hype" enough for stream monsters.

That and endless complaints about gems before and during its launch. The DLC debacle pretty much went mainstream and probably kept alot of new people from buying the game too.
