The Witcher 3 split isn't really surprising, Xbox owners have ... ummm; Ok but soon they'll have... ehhh... OK it didn't seem obvious people would skip it, still seems like it has done decently anyways.

The marketing deal clearly was not exclusive to Xbox in the UK as there were Witcher 3 TV ads for PS4 as well.

not only ads, but multiple deals too, for "ps4 + witcher", and even "ps4 + witcher + bloodborne"

I read in the article below that ps4 sold for 279 pounds with witcher 3 included.
(normal price is 303 pounds without witcher per the article)

There's more PS4s out there. The massive marketing push probably made everyone who likes gaming aware of it so they could look into it, see it's for the console they own and buy it. On top of that, despite MS's marketing, the PS4 had the better Witcher 3 bundles for anyone looking at a new console to play it.

Yes, there's more PS4, but console split is not so big in UK. So, Witcher 3 sales is a huge surprise IMO. I predicted 50% for PS4, 40% for Xbone and rest is PC.

Damn, that's a crazy good bundle. Sony have been knocking out amazing value bundles since November, I have to wonder why MS isn't doing the same.

Their Christmas bundles were a joke as well, it's like they've just given up...

So that makes now the last four big releases with over a 2:1 split. Maybe a lot of X1s purchased last holiday were secondary consoles due to the deals being so good.

Only one that was close was BF:H.

True but it helps a lot when you can get a PS4 and The Witcher for £280.00.

Definitelly a good deal, but i'm not sure if the spilts would be that much different even without this bundle.

I know this is a joke, but generally speaking, i wonder why "hungry for games" is sometimes being seen as something negative. I guess its related to "has no games", but having consumers that wants to buy games, AKA being "hungry for games", is something that the system producers really wants.

That actually makes a lot of sense, there must be a sizeable number of gamers that have both consoles now. I would think anyone with both would be more likely to pick up multi platform games on PS4.

I think "hungry for games" are people who really play a lot (me in the age from 16 - 24), buy or rent every new release and play them through in a rather short time. People who don't game that much or just now buy a PS4/XB1 have already tons of games to play. I guess a lot of Gaffers tend to play more then the avarage population.
