I thought this would come after the success of REmake HD. Fantastic, sold my GC years ago so a chance to play this again with trophies? I'm all over that.
i hope this leads to a physical box set of remake and zero in europe and the us.

Hope they chuck REmake and RE0 on a disc together, Imported the PS3 disc of REmake but rather has em both physically on PS4.
edit:
Snap!
Failed the RE:R test. Badly. Probably the Ducktales Remastered and D&D Chronicles tests as well. Got a Pass/Fail on the MH3U test.
It's really depressing that a Wii U version isn't even considered.
This is probably the only RE I haven't played. Why was this more polarizing to a lot of people than most other older games in the series?
It's a pretty different formula all around. No storage items you instead drop items whereever. Though most of the time you try to minimize this by dropping in a central hub for a majority of the game. The play style between two different characters is different as well. It's almost like playing coop by yourself. Aside from that the story just kind of happens. If you have played the later games you'll know that 0 is basically never mentioned at all despite being canon. Also the main antagonist is a bit odd, and that's taking into account all of RE. Overall I still don't think it's bad and quite enjoyed it. But it is a bit odd of a title all around.
The Wii U already has this via the Wii version.
These versions going to be upscaled from sub-HD assets too.
Honestly looking at this screen accompanying the reveal they either have recreated things or have the original assets.
They did a mixture of both for REmake as well so it wouldn't be too surprising.
Hmm... my biggest issue with this game is the lack of storage boxes. You have to plot places to put things. it's a big hassle. And the quality just doesnt hit the high that REmake does. It's an ok game though.

I was expecting this gif. Fits nicely with the thread.
Too bad Jeff Goldblum is not in the forthcoming Jurassic World flick....
Because Revelation wasn't good? I seriously doubt these good would do poorly on Nintendo's hardware when the Virtual Console proves otherwise.
Revelation was great though and popular RE.

Anybody else got a collection of RE game releases? Something sexy about all the individual releases together. Mine isn't complete but it's coming along well.
Might as well just get it out of the way, I guess.
I hate RE:0 so much, but I think I'm in the vast minority here
Yeah, please make a physical edition with both REmake and RE:0 on the PS3/PS4 for $30. I will buy!Capcom, please make a PS3 physical edition for this, even if it's chinese only, I don't give a damn. Just so I can put it with my chinese REmake copy. D:
OR....or a physical compilation on PS4 with both remasters!
Will buuuuy, sold in advance anyway, no matter what happens. u_u
I'll believe it when I see it.I liked RE0 enough. It's far better than 5 and 6 IMO. I'd probably put it up there with Veronica.
I don't get how people complain about the inventory system. You can drop anything anywhere. It's so nice.
Really want that red key but no space? Drop that green herb on the floor.
Use the main hall as you main drop point. Need some ammo, back tot he main hall where I dropped off the shells.
Only downside is if you are moving to a new area, you may have to make supplies runs from your main drop off point to the new.
Anyways, hopefully this means RE2 is coming down the pipe but that will require actual work as it must be made from the ground up.
cool. I want viewtiful Joe and P.N. 03.
I'll believe it when I see it.
Anyone that thinks that these cash-ins will lead to a remake of RE2 that looks like REmake is delusional.
It would be an entirely new game built from the ground up. Capcom is making easy money right now polishing some games that are 10+ years old that still hold up visually.
I'm actually surprised by this. I actually thought it was a far better alternative to "magic" item boxes. For one, you can actually leave incompleted KEY objects right in front of the object that requires it. How is that not a superior option? Eliminates most of the backtracking really; could've cut an extra 30 minutes of my finish time if they implemented it in the REmake.

Well you'd still have to make your way to the required object in order to drop the key item off. You'd just end up backtracking in the opposite way of a normal RE game.
Keep 'em coming, hopefully they're building up to 2 with the amassing funds.

I dont have revelations 2 either
Will nab day one, just like REmake HD.
It's not going to happen with this because RE0 was a Gamecube game, it's old enough that it's considered OK by most folks. It hits the spot everyone is comfortable with.
Now if it was RE5 Remastered (or hell even RE6 lol) then, yes, people would groan.
