The story is really interesting. I'm afraid about the execution in the game.
I hope for 10 hour plus campaign

Pretty sure its a reference to the No Russian mission from MW2
That's it?
Can you guys imagine for a moment if they give us that Chief peace conference infiltration as the first ever campaign footage, and it ends up looking as chaotic and intense in game as it sounded through the huntthetruth episode?![]()
I would love to play that section as Master Chief in Halo 5, just mowing through the embassy as a 7' tall bad ass. Even if only to setup the reason Locke is hunting Master Chief.
You know what? Something just hit me. Clearly if the Chief went in there and seemingly protected the Covenant delegation, it means that some element of the human delegation was likely plotting something terrible against them.
...
Halo 5 could finally be the moment the human insurrectionist movement becomes the big, galactic threat that prompted the creation of the Spartan IIs in the first place. If there's one thing that's becoming more clear after Halo 4, it's that humanity is entering a phase where they may be the most powerful beings in the galaxy. Humanity doesn't always have to end up being on the "good" side of things. Maybe it's time for humanity to start threatening humanity and all other forms of existence on much the same scale the covenant did, or that the flood might? But of course it won't be that simple; surely there may be a reemergence of forerunners, precursors or flood that is tossed into the mix as well.
That's it?
I actually want it to be a 30 hour RPG.
As well written as this is, it does highlight how utterly gross and incompetent the Office of Naval Intelligence is.
Power corrupts absolutely, yet none of them have the braincells to use it.

Peace is shattered when colony worlds are unexpectedly attacked. But when humanity's greatest hero goes missing, a new Spartan is tasked with hunting the Master Chief and solving a mystery that threatens the entire galaxy.
I was just browsing Halo Waypoint for some stuff, when I came across the Halo 5 page and saw this:
It's a light spoiler for the newest and the next #HuntTheTruth episode:
The communication outage was not created by ONI it seems, which I already assumed but wasn't too sure of it. It's the anomaly M'Shak was talking about. Flood, Covenant or Forerunner? I would go with Forerunner, since the Halo 5 box art was basically the Forerunner Bird destroying a colony.
I noticed this campaign description yesterday^^
But nice find. Its probably this way^^

i wish they gave as text also or with subtitle...
I've been wondering: just what are these birds? Are they the "Guardians"? Were they created to be used in times of great turmoil to prevent destruction? Why are they suddenly appearing? And are these constructs really Forerunner?
I don't know if anyone mentioned it before but the construct in the teaser looks a lot different from the one on the cover art.
But why are the Guardians mad?
There's transcripts of every episode here:

Anyone get the achievement from palying the MCC where it says...
The Guardians Are Coming

Halo: The Master Chief Collection
Get killed by the Guardians
MC has never had issues fighting and killing humans before. Heck, the scene where he wipes the floor with those ODSTs is proof enough, not to mention all the other missions where they fought insurrectionists. Personally, I think it's a doppelgänger who perpetrated he embassy massacre, but I would like to see some of these events referenced in the campaign/cinematics. They've done an excellent job on the writing, which is why I hope the integration of all this new EU content with the games is a smoother in H5.That's for, hopefully, a much different game in the Halo universe.
I also don't really see the chief killing a human being in cold blood once he already has them captured unless there's a damn good reason for doing so, so something tells me that maybe to prevent the person from giving up information, there was maybe some device attached to their physical person that injected a lethal dose of something to kill the person. I greatly doubt the Chief was responsible for that diplomat's death.
What are those things slumped over in the corner..?
Former QA Leads.

That's just Miranda in the ending cinematics of Halo 2 Anniversary.
Now we must uncover the reason why they used this scene and that location to tie with the Guardians?
Index - Guardians are coming - the key to all answers about the anomalies in the outer colonies?

Will the Didact or other Forerunner beings return? Will the Flood be back or even the Precursors? Will Insurrectionists play a larger role in the game?
So many questions.
Looks nice.
How do some of those buildings still have power? What did the rest even get hit with. :O
