X-Men '92 really does feel more like the cartoon than the actual 90s comics. Although
Cassandra Nova
popping up really brings something to it.

Really loved seeing Gambit back in classic action. Plus that whole Gambit/Rogue dynamic.

I get that this applies to Battleworld, but does it apply to space as well? Mostly thinking of the Infinity Gauntlet tie-in wherein
there's a war happening in outer space, but does that affect all the sectors or does each sector have it's own galaxy?

I assumed that Battleworld simply exists in a empty void and didn't have 'space' or 'galaxies', because what would that be exactly? Are there other planets? I didn't think so, but maybe?

It's weird.

P sure Battleworld is a new universe with BDubs being the "Earth". Interesting question though. Will ask the great minds in Twitter.

I don't know how the Skottie Young stuff is canon (i think it is?), but there's a view of the whole planet in the previews of his Secret Wars tie-in.

I don't think this is a spoiler or anything to post a preview, right? It looks like the planet just hangs out in a white void.

Interaction facilitates a bigger, organized opposition. No sense in allowing that.

Then again, if Vic were a legit god, he'd have no reason to care about any of that.

Right now my main question is "why the fuck would Vic choose to recreate the infinity gems?", which obv indicates that he wasn't the one responsible for all the rules.

On a different note, i wanna hate Gabriel as much as you all do. What do i gotta read, War of Kings?

Yeah Doom obviously has to maintain some kind of full status quo. He's most certainly not 100% in control, or he is, but maybe he can't comprehend a reality without certain things? We need the terms and rules of Doom's "godhood" in order to make sense of all this.

Also, I can't remember what it was that I read that had Vulcan in it. Something about the Shi'ar. I remember reading a few issues and thinking "that is the dumbest fucking thing" and now I just dislike Vulcan so much.

Vulcan was only ever in X-Men Dark *whatever* and then War of Kings to my knowledge.

And if Black Bolt survived, then so did Vulcan.

I liked Vulcan in War of Kings. His Caligula act and how it clashed with Gladiator's extreme loyalty to the empire was interesting.

I think my issue with Vulcan is just everything about his origin. Like how he's somehow the third Summers boy who is the most powerful and there was also a previous team that went to Krakoa and was left for dead and I don't know I thought it was all super stupid. Massive character assassination of Xavier (not like there wasn't any before, but this was really going the distance on it).

The character is whatever at that point.

Didn't read his origin story. Just saying, within War of Kings, divorced from all that stuff; he worked well.

Amazing Spider-Man: Renew Your Vows #1 preview. With words. Peter, MJ, and their daughter Annie appear in this preview. Along with Jonah, Robbie, and Ben Urich.

That is the most adorable thing ever, damn you for taking this from us Queseda!

This is only a temporary thing right? The actual Spider books going forward are going to be some other crap? I guess I'll enjoy Renew Your Vows while it lasts.

Renew Your Vows is taking over ASM for the duration of Secret Wars, Slott confirmed it during an interview. Would be kinda hard for him to juggle two Spidey books and Surfer. Just from the preview I wish he could talk editorial into letting him just use this as the status-quo going forward.

Still saying 616 Peter makes it out of Secret Wars with Annie. The adventures of Single Father Spider-man with Miles occasionally babysitting to be a new ongoing.

Well, I'll just cross my fingers then. Just read the preview. I'm too fond of the art to be honest. The baby is really ugly and I didn't even realize it was a baby in the first couple of panels.

I never knew I wanted this until this exact second. You know Uncle Johnny would babysit too in the greatest babysitting story ever told.

Damn you Mudcrab for making me want something we probably wont get. From the depths of Hades, I will curse your name!

We have no idea as to what the new Marvel Universe is going to be like post Secret Wars.

Also he arranges playdates for Annie with Danielle.

The Adventures of Spider-Man and Luke Cage: Super Daddy Daycare

Correct me if I'm wrong here, but each domain has some wall dividing them is it right?

Basing this off Old Man Logan's last page.
Yup.

I don't believe there is a physical wall between realms, only the shield. He's climbing the Shield at the end of the issue to find out whats going on with the Ultrons.

I would LOVE this.

So many stories with a Father Spiderman and a young Miles in training to take over the mantle.

I'm not even really a Spiderman fan but I'd buy that book every month.

Not according to Secret Wars 002. When the Thors are talking they mention a dwindling amount of stars. In fact you seen plenty of them... unless that's an illusion.

I think this is correct. Ms. America threw a shark into another domain fairly easily. it's just that big wall keeping the zombies and ultrons out that's the big barrier.

edit: looks like she threw a shark across the shield into the deadlands and broke part of it. doesn't look like even the shield is that much of a barrier.

That's what I initially thought until I checked the map again and saw where the Warzone is in respect to the Shield

It's hard to tell because there isn't much consistency. For example the MODOK issue has a part where MODOK is chilling at the border between Killville, The Sentinel Territories and the Monarchy of M and there is no wall. MODOK, the sentinels and Gambit pass between the territories freely.

that one definitely shouldn't be happening, as it's been made explicit elsewhere that crossing territories is a no-no

They're not supposed to. If Baron Mordu caught MODOK with the Nimrod CPU it would imply he crossed the border or someone else did putting his reign at risk. It's implied Gambit was on mission from the Monarchy of M carrying the same risk.

Maybe it's because that Killville just kills any who cross the border, so Doom is like "they solve their shit anyway, so why bother."

MODOK might not care either way but he suggests Gambit's life was forfeit in any case because he was in Killville territory.

More like the shield is like the Great Wall of China or something.

Yeah the shield wall seems pretty fragile, guess it's more symbolic than truly functional.

Even though Ultron for instance could easily destroy it he knows not to unless he wants Doom to personally hand him his ass.

I think the Shield's defenses are more focused on the gaggle of superhumans who man it then the physical wall itself.

I think this is going to be the twist.

Obviously the zombies are too stupid or brain rotted to come up with a coherent strategy to get around the wall and the Thors, but an army of Ultrons would absolutely not be stopped by a concrete wall that's "kinda high" and some Thor-cops.

Inhumans Tie In put me to sleep while MODOK was insanely good. Other than that, I'm just gonna wait 2 weeks. Next week seems ho hum to me event wise unless Renew gets some praise.

The only inconsistencies I've seen thus far have been in Bendis' books :lol

That's not good. Seems like all the other writers are out of whack with their stories then and need to make sure future issues don't contradict Bendis' stories, especially as he's finishing off Ultimate End.
