Looks great, I liked New Vegas a lot. Hopefully this is as good as NV.
I know I am not the first to say this, but if thats how the game looks...meh. I've been spoiled by the witcher wild hunt
Certaintly making it difficult for me to enjoy these Fallout 4 threads.Indeed, some of the hyperbole on here is annoying.
Amusing the shitstorm that CD Projekt gets if some in game leaves aren't quite as shiny in the end product as in trailers but Bethesda can keep shitting out incompetent Xbox 1 quality graphics (and awful animations to go along with it) and everyone keeps lapping it up
For real? That looks absolutely beautiful.
I reckon the prologue of the game will be you as a kid in the pre-war setting, just before the bombs fall.
only Rockstar is in the same league as Bethesda,
Coming from Witcher 3 you can't possibly think Fallout 4 looks anything other than OK.
Looks like Id tech 5 tbh
Pretty environments i guess

Paul Revere status in Boston.
I hate to bitch about the graphics but it doesn't look much better than 3 or New Vegas. It's early so I hope they're still working on that. I was expecting something a little more life like this time.
Indeed, when it comes to budget, they have just as much capability as R* . This is a really an abysmal showing of graphics and tech. The only standouts here are the city density and the new lighting. I can't believe they are still insisting with that garbage animation tech.
Wait. Really? How many copies did TW3 sold?
it looks better than Fallout 3 but worst than most games that came out in the past 3 years
there, better?
Art direction and visuals remind me a lot of Destiny weirdly enough. Either way, it looks good, just not mind blowing.
Yeah people are gonna complain no matter what. There's no point in appealing to a small slice of the market. Just make the publisher happy. Why the hell didn't they just CG some shots and a trailer that look way better than the game we will eventually get : (
Absolutely loved the trailer, it did what a trailer should do and that is whet my appetite. Sure the graphics are a bit "ropey" here and there (that dog looks bloody awful) but fallout has never been about graphics for me.
I am so looking forward to roaming around a post nuclear landscape again. I am probably in a minority here but I want it to be more like Fallout 3 and less like Fallout NV.
at 1:55 mark in the trailer, isn't that the George Washington statue in Boston?

Paul Revere, and yes.
But, but, but... downgraded graphics...
XD
PD: I don't care about graphics if the game is awesome... The Witcher is and Fallout 4 will be for sure.
Sonic actually has shadows, too.

Apart from the graphics looking ... rough, the biggest problem I have with this is that it still looks like Bethesda's theme park version of a post apocalyptic wasteland as opposed to an actual post apocalyptic wasteland.
But whatever. I guess I'll take it.
I guess that Fallout 4 is done in idTech 5 (looks like that) so no modding i guess.
A first reveal trailer giving you footage straight from the in-game engine is a lot more than you usually get for a title like this. Was hoping to see some gameplay. I have mixed opinions about fallout 3.
Its better this way
Show the actual game AS IS and get it over with early
Still looks good enough and now we can get the graphics whining out of our system way early
Can someone name a single iconic thing in this trailer that wasn't lifted wholesale from Fallout 1 or 2?
Just one.
