Yeah, it's weird the way 3 holds up much better, maybe it had more time for polish?Fallout 3 looks fine on Series X. If you want to see truly ugly, load up New Vegas.

FO3 is like a French red wine, a Henry Poole suit, a Patek Philippe watch or Calvin Klein underwear:
Timeless classic.
Fallout 3 got a res bump and is native 4k on Series X, New Vegas is still 720p.Yeah, it's weird the way 3 holds up much better, maybe it had more time for polish?
I don't know the status of the project, but there was a huge mod in development called Fallout 4: New Vegas, where they… you can probably guess. It looks like the project is dead, with some of the elements released as standalone mods being the only thing we saw.I just want the gunplay from 4 put into 3. Anytime I'm shooting without vats in 3, it feels like crap.
3 still the superior game for role-play and world though.
You mean console plebs who dont have a pcBecause people want it?
Nee Vegas was notoriously quick and dirty project pushed by Bethesda, who did t expect much. I think it was developed in mor rthan year and was back then pretty buggyYeah, it's weird the way 3 holds up much better, maybe it had more time for polish?
I can't understand why people prefer New Vegas.
It's a better RPG, that's why.
I always thought FO3 was 10x better than New Vegas, and people only said they preferred New Vegas because Obsidian was a cooler developer to say you liked. This is my most anticipated game, really. Such a classic masterpiece and I can't understand why people prefer New Vegas. I really, really hope they release it on any form - I'll play the crap out of it.
And far better writing. And a more balanced game (not perfect though, specially with dlcs, but the Sawyer's "unofficial fix" help with that). And the closest 3D Fallout game to the classics spirit. It's a better RPG, that's why.
I dunno....maybe for the fact that neither game is playable on modern consoles like PS4/PS5 or Switch 1/2And far better writing. I don't see the point of a remaster btw. They're both avaliable on stores and they're playable. What real benefit would they have? Breaking mod compatibility on the pc version?
It was the most obvious no brainer and would have been the FIRST thing I had comissioned once I had acquired Bethesda under Microsoft.
I didn't know the game isn't avaliable or retrocompatible with modern consoles. Anyway this is more Bethesda's fault because lack of availability than the need of a remaster like the Oblivion one though.I dunno....maybe for the fact that neither game is playable on modern consoles like PS4/PS5 or Switch 1/2
200M+ fucking systems out in the blue that don't have either Fallout 3 or New Vegas....
Somehow...you don't see the point...

Agree. The world in FO3 is just amazing. Felt so good traveling on foot from place to place. Except for when you encounter Deathclaws or giant ants (that fucking noise)It is the better RPG, but FO3 has a better open world and atmosphere.
Ultimately, both are great and the last two great FO games. Both deserve a full remake.
cmon papito , for an open world action RPG it looked good at the time 2008The game looked already dated back when it released. Imagine now
We need this more than ever, but if the performance is as disastrous as the Oblivion Remake or Remaster or whatever shit you can call that, then we are doomed
I have to agree as well. It looked neat for a 2008 open-world game. I certainly remember it being quite atmospheric at times. Much more so than New Vegas. However, New Vegas is still the better and more interesting game.cmon papito , for an open world action RPG it looked good at the time 2008
Disagree. NV has complete freedom and you're never more than 30 seconds from an interesting location. 3's main city is a clusterfuck with walled off areas and only subway systems connecting them.It is the better RPG, but FO3 has a better open world and atmosphere.

It looked ugly AND beautiful at the same time.I have to agree as well. It looked neat for a 2008 open-world game. I certainly remember it being quite atmospheric at times. Much more so than New Vegas. However, New Vegas is still the better and more interesting game.
This is something PC peebs never talk about.Disagree. NV has complete freedom and you're never more than 30 seconds from an interesting location. 3's main city is a clusterfuck with walled off areas and only subway systems connecting them.
3 needs the remake more, the game is buggy as hell on pc. NV has been kept alive by the love of fans, the Viva New Vegas guide provides enough stability improvements to make the game playable.

Yeah, NV feels like the Temu version of FO3 to me, and the environments and world building in FO3 is just light years ahead.I always thought FO3 was 10x better than New Vegas, and people only said they preferred New Vegas because Obsidian was a cooler developer to say you liked.
Fallout 3 was my first Fallout, and maybe my favourite game ever when it released. Then New Vegas came along, and it was okay but a much less interesting place to explore, endless talking, and all those wacky factions who I never really cared about. I think I ended up just shooting most of them so I wouldn't have to listen to them.Yeah, NV feels like the Temu version of FO3 to me, and the environments and world building in FO3 is just light years ahead.
Sloppy knock-off.
I thought S1 was solid, not started S2 yet. When does the new season of the shitty show end? Should we be hoping/expecting for a shadow drop then?
Remember at the end of the game where you have to enter a tank full of deadly radiation to save the wasteland, and your super mutant companion who is immune to radiation refused to do it for you?Name some RPG mechanics that are better in 3 vs. New Vegas.

Why do you say "shitty"?
So you didn't watch it?Because I don't do tv shows based on videogames, no matter how much praise is received. I gave TLOU a shot for two eps and noped out like the sanest person in the room. Fallout looks like CW garbage and I think Goggins is one of the most overrated actors of the last decade.
So you didn't watch it?
Shame, it's good and Ella Purnell is superb.
