Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection announced, October 9th, UC4 MP beta access

Uncharted 1 is an 8 year old game. The PS3 trilogy remasters all retailed for $40. It's a fair price, especially considering their missing features they had at release.

No sorry, this is the age where we defend every decision made by our favorite devs and publishers, no matter what.

Let's level up a bit

I had never actually seen the GIF without him going Super Saiyan before that. :P

Mmm decisions....

My PS3 died, I have about $500 worth on games, including the 3 Uncharted games, now I can just get the Remaster and forget about my catalog on PS3, or just buy a new PS3 and don't buy this.

edit: I don´t think the MP of these games will remain active for long, but yeah, missed opportunity, at least the MP in Uncharted 2.

Oh so its actually 60$? Its high for what it offers but still day 1. Need that Uncharted fix before 4 comes out. Playing this on not completely shitty controller is big for me.

Why announce this now and not at the Sony press conference ?

I guess they don't want to waste time at their conference for a remaster, which is fine with me. More time for new IPs. It sounds like MS is doing the same thing with Gears of War remaster and relieving it at some Xbox Daily thing later in the day.

I did have my fingers crossed for mp and golden abyss.still a bit excited, just going to wait for a price drop. Can't wait to see screens, though.

God Of War HD
Team Ico HD
Metal Gear HD

They're outstanding at HD remasters, each of those easily became the best versions of the game to play.

HexaDrive fixed Zone of the Enders, another outstanding team for remasters. I think they're just as good as Bluepoint.

EDIT - Damn your edit, friend.

Bluepoint handled the God of War Collection, Ico & SOTC Collection, MGS HD Collection for consoles, Flower for Vita/PS4, as well as the 360 port for Titanfall and developing the engine that PSASBR and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate run on. It's in good hands.
Not bad at all.

Even with all these improvements I hope there's a classic difficulty mode. I busted my balls on UC1 crushing and would expect others to do the same.

Yep. There's also like, way less mp content between the 2 Uncharted's compared the MCC. Not saying it'd be a cakewalk to port, but, I can't imagine it'd suffer the same fate.

Man, this really bums me out. I played so much Uncharted MP.

Same and what's to say they won't muck up Uncharted 4's multiplayer like they did with 3? Too much blind faith being thrown around here by how the beta will make up for the lack of any multiplayer, which would likely last for 2 weeks.

By that logic, Microsoft should've just said MCC has the single players only, but the multiplayer would be the Halo 5 beta. Imagine the backlash to that. Uncharted's multiplayer was one of the most popular PS3 multiplayer games so saying things like "wait... people actually played the multiplayer?" is ignorant beyond belief. This collection is incomplete, however every bloody collection released lately is.

Best wishes.

I know you guys are disappointed about the lack of MP, but as someone else mentioned it makes very little sense to pour time and money into those modes when UC4 is hitting shortly after this, and 90% of the players will move on to that.

but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies.

Photo mode and new trophies muahahaha! Too bad about the multi but we'll get the U4 one so I'm good with that

Those were ps2 games tho

They were last gen games on current gen (PS2 games on PS3). So it seems fair to have it similar here.

If they included MP, I'd be fine with it. It'd be so much content that it would be hard for me to complain. People also can't compare this to MCC, which has FAR more content than this collection has.

Ooo I'm very interested in this. Never touched these games on PS3 but after playing The Last of Us I am in. Was Uncharted MP really that good though? I played the demo for UC3 MP but felt nothing from it. I loved TLOU MP though.

I've already made the GOW3 comment.

Is it really considered weird these days? Overpricing another product doesn't give another value lower/higher. PS3 collections were all(?) reasonable.

They were $40 for 2 games at launch. This is $60 for 3 games at launch. I don't see the difference.

I'm surprised by the fallout for the lack of MP. Uncharted MP always felt tacked on to me, they are SP focused games. I'm actually among the camp who feels that the expanded MP in 3 is what caused the SP to fall below 1 and 2 in quality.

Cool this will only be $52 with gamer's club with hopefully $10 back. I'm in.

Is there any word that they will keep the 3D game play for U3? If so, that will look great on PS4.

If I remember correctly the first Uncharted had the dualshock movement (grenades and the jet ski). I hope they removed it.

RE: The Master Chief Collection

When has Drake actually stolen anything in the games outside of the intro of Uncharted 2? I know it's his reputation and all, but there's not a whole lot of thieving going on in the games themselves.

I'll admit that this has also crossed my mind before.

This might have been the case, however I doubt the game will be finished, printed and stored just waiting for release date. Know Naughty Dog, the perfectionists that they are, they will use the extra time to polish the game into a perfect shine so it's win win for us.

Free.

At least that's what it seems like from some of these posts.

I for one am glad it's $60, especially after that $40 pricetag for GoW III remaster. They've fallen back in line with the remaster prices of last gen ($20 per game).

That's not what I (or others are saying) so let's not assume so. It's a clear fact a chunk of the game is missing. If at least coop missions were still intact, maybe it would've been more reasonable.

They were $40 for 2 games at launch. This is $60 for 3 games at launch. I don't see the difference.

Most of my collections from PS3 are three packed in. Not sure what you're talking about.

It definitely sounds like they're serious about improving and tweaking the games instead of just straight-up porting, really looking forward to hear about these improvements they've made (besides just the graphics).
Yeah this is sounding more and more amazing.

INSTANT PURCHASE

And please Bulletpoint, put a lot of people on updating Uncharted 1. New visuals are fine, but I even want upgrade of core gameplay features [animation, combat, enemy AI...].

Damn was hoping for MP. Uncharted 2's online was brilliant fun, I put a lot of hours into that and would go again.

Bluepoint, though. That is fantastic news.
