Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection announced, October 9th, UC4 MP beta access

I know Master Chief Collection was broken as hell, but at least the price was supergood:

-Halo 1
-Halo 2
-Halo 3
-Halo 4
-ODST
-Multi
-Halo 5 Beta

with a price launch of 60€

This collection seems just poor compared to MCC, at least they should throw Golden Abyss in.

Probably should take out ODST and put in Spartan OPs I guess. ODST at $5 is very solid deal though.

you realized that ND have to delay U4 so they can have enough time for it

Halo 2 Anniversary maps wern't developed by 343 to my knowledge, i'm excited to replay Uncharted 2 in 60fps but the entire collection is certainly inferior to The Master Chief Collection from what we've learnt so far. It's a game short, it lacks multiplayer, doesn't have a remake... not saying every compilation has to be as ambitious as Halo's but minus it's shoddy launch MCC should be what all compilations and remasters strive to be.

Pre-order bonus: Golden AK-47 and Golden 92FS guns. Can you use does guns in singleplayer? I remember those guns were used alot in MP....

Sure, because I knew a response would be how broken it is, but personally I don't see why 343's incompetence means developers shouldn't put the muliplayer from the original release in their new collection.

That's something I can't give a 100% answer for. The best I can do is to ask another question. Would porting over the multiplayer really be worth it? If you think about it, Uncharted isn't exactly known for it's single player. It's a great component of the full package, but I could make an assumption that Sony's main reason for releasing this game was to get people (especially new players) on board with what's going on with Nathan before UC4 drops. I don't think they viewed the MP as part of that story, so they left it out. Of course 343i & co. didn't have much choice in adding the MP for TMCC, because the multiplayer is a key part of what makes Halo, Halo.

Maybe it could be the logistics (the game had to release in the holiday, before UC4, and Bluepoint can only work so fast), but that's getting into a lot of speculation. I'm not trying to defend their decision, I'm just trying to give some reasons to why they justified leaving out the MP.

Would love to just be able to buy U2 and forego the rest. U1 doesn't hold up well at all, and U3 was annoying to finish with all of the spawn closets and invisible waypoints to trip in order to keep progressing forward. I'd rather not play through the Shipyard section of U3 ever again.

In the same boat. UC2 is really the only one I want to buy. So I can wait on this.

Does the NDC includes a real remake? or is just like TLOUR? Remake like the Halo2 in the MCC..

Not counting that MCC has been a broken mess for months and months obviously.

People complaining about the MP of MCC and defend a NDC without a MP, xD

Your joking right? Did you play The Last of Us remake? Do you remember how good that game looked and played?

Nathan Drake Collection will look tens times better than halo 4, halo 3, and ODST, and those games are from the same gen as Drake.

MCC was a mess and still has issues.

59.99 for 3 games re-rendered in 1080p, 60 frames per second, with enhanced textures, outfits, photomode, will be better than playing the mess that is MCC multiplayer, and co-op campaign.

so you want to play U2 and U3 broken multiplayer at launch then wait for them to fix

Comparing Nathan Drake Collection to MCC isn't fair, since Im sure Nathan drake collection will actually work.

The MCC single player campaigns actually worked, too.

And you shouldn't be glad that UC 2/3 MP components aren't in there just because there were numerous server issues with MCC. That's a false dichotomy.

If it works it will offer hell of a lot more value.

3 campaigns and the only multiplayer coming in the form of a limited time beta? I don't think that's more value and this better work if they are dropping all of the multiplayer to just focus on the single player stuff.

Considering it's Blue Point I have no issue in thinking it will work out of the gate day 1. Hell it might not even need any patching.

It's great that this fictional, ambitious idea, of MCC turned out well.

The MP didn't work, all of the campaigns were just fine though. So if you were to compare by just Campaigns and the included beta, it's still a better deal.
Just wanted to bring that up. though I feel 60 for the 3 games is fine. Better than GOW3 and it's 40 dollar price.

Just look at all the fanboys with angry replies to your post, of course they will buy anything so they don't really need luck.

I will buy anything related to Naughty Dog, cause... Well they're the best. I guess that does make me a fanboy.. Nothing wrong with that lol

I do hope that the motion blur is handled better than it was on TLoUR. It was almost completely gone in TLoU but wasn't as big of a loss due to the more realistic/grounded approach of that game. For Uncharted, I think it adds a lot to the cinematic flair of the series.

I'm pretty sure that it doesn't have multiplayer, even the pre-order skins are for the single-player campaigns.

"UNCHARTED: The Nathan Drake Collection includes the single-player campaigns for UNCHARTED: Drake’s Fortune, UNCHARTED 2: Among Thieves, and UNCHARTED 3: Drake’s Deception."

Well in that case it's a decent value I guess at 30 bucks. I hope they are on the level of LoU:R.

Can't wait for this. My brother started doing a dance when he heard the news since he never owned a ps3 and his only experience with the series has been conmercials and trailers. I'm excited to play some UC1 and 2 again, easily some of the most enjoyable games i played on my PS3, though i haven't played both games since their respective launch, so the games aren't even super fresh in my mind. 60$ is fine for me too, wish they included mp at that price, but 20$ a game and lnowing bluepoint is working on it sounds quality enough to me

Well it comes down to many reasons (the decision to cut multi)

1. It's a ton of extra work for the porting team. Not to mention all the potential stability issues that can arise (see MCC).

2. Space. Multiplayer modes in two games take up a ton of extra disc space. Putting the game out on multiple discs would ramp up manufacturing costs and the game would be priced even higher.

3. It's a lot of work for very little gain. Uncharted 4 is releasing in Q1 2016. That is where Sony will want people playing, it's their big blockbuster game. So to include a beta and promote multi in a game releasing potentially just a few months later is preferable to having players split across 3 different games.

There are three logical reasons for why the multiplayer has been cut.
so much sense. So little of it being displayed here ;)

The value is in the eye of the beholder clearly but I don't see how you can say it's "poor". 3 quality games with added bells and whistles and other tweaks. Add 1080p, 60fps photomode. I don't know. I'm all in

Yeah, that's would be unfortunate. Plus, 60fps with the per-object motion blur in UC2 (and 3?) would look incredible.

Lol I guess they figured "WEll Fuck it now"

Im sure they have plenty left in the cannon and this was a small and expected announcement anyways

Either way they are still going to give it a few minutes on stage i bet

It's great that this fictional, ambitious idea, of MCC turned out well.

It did turn out well, the single player campaigns are superior to how they were on Xbox/360, the Halo 2 remake was very impressive and although the multiplayer was awful for a while it's completely playable now, there's also another game in the collection too.

Edit: I would rather not discuss MCC any further in this thread as it's about Uncharted, I was merely making the point that they could try something ala Halo 2 Anniversary with the multiplayer.

Full price? I see a collection where you're essentially getting three remastered singleplayer games for $20 each. If that's not a good deal to you, so be it. Just don't act surprised that everyone else thinks it is.

I think we are reading different threads :D

I see a collection where I am getting less than 3 remastered games. I am getting 1 remastered game, and half of two remastered games, hence my posts. When I look at buying something I have already owned and played, I generally look at the extra things it comes with. At this point all we can see is the things it has lost, you understand?

I think 3 old games with missing content - a considerable amount of it - at fifty quid is taking the piss, and my love for the games doesn't change that, nor is that appraisal based on your own personal preferences, obviously.

It's not what uncharted is known for though. It's a bonus if they included them, but we get UC4 multiplayer beta and that to me will play a lot better than uncharted 2,3 multiplayer. Which in my eyes doesn't hold up against TLOU MP.

With the time limit that they started on this, and seeing the issues MCC had, it's no surprise they didn't include it.

Maybe at a later date?

Also Uncharted 4 is coming early spring 2016. WHo knows how drastic MP of UC4 is from UC2 +UC3.

Also you couldn't even get into a co-op campaign without issues on MCC. And that to me is a main reason to own the Collection.
