Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection announced, October 9th, UC4 MP beta access

By the look of it, Sony or Naughty Dog clearly wants people to play Uncharted 4's MP with the game releases in less than 6 months after the collection. And I think this game is meant for people who hasn't played the previous entries to get pumped up about the next game.

Just like any game, it doesn't have to appeal to everyone. I, for one, am excited as I haven't played the first one. If they revamped it a bit, then it's a buy for me.

They should have added at least Uncharted 3 MP. =(

The game is great, but without multiplayer in, I'm sure it won't call attention of most players who already finished the game. In my case, I finished 2 or 3 times each, got the platinum trophie for U2 and U3, and just not for U1 cause it glitched for me. So maybe I would replay the campaings again, but my biggest interest was in the multiplayer mode this time.

I would recommend the collection for everyone who has not played it yet though!

agreed that, the U2/U3 MP is my favorite mp game,im kinda purchase it,but in this case, maybe wait for price drop,i think the whole issue is the price, but it has UC4 MP beta make me wanna attention

No multiplayer and no co-op is disappointing. Loved both of those things in Uncharted 2.

Seems to be a common element in these remastered collections though. There's no Firefight in The Master Chief Collection's ODST either.

Never got very far into Uncharted 3 because of the damn trial and error rooftop chase which sapped any will I had to continue. I might pick this up at a discount to see if the rest of that game improves things.

Has anyone seen what that dynamic theme looks like? Usually someone's uploaded a video to YouTube by now. I'd really like an Uncharted theme for my PS4 but I wish I didn't have to make a digital preorder. Unless there's a way to immediately cancel it.

Sure, if by 1776 you mean 2012.

TLOU was actually $50, which was a pretty good price considering it only came out a year ago. I'm not even that upset about the Uncharted Collection's pricing, just kind of baffled that there are some people that honestly can't see how someone might value the package as worth less than $60.

And I am more baffled as to how you conveniently ignore examples of remasters that are much more in line with with what is being presented in the Uncharted Collection in terms of value.

The God of War collections were $40 for two games. The team Ico collections $40 for two games.....It was also laughable that you brought up the Ezio trilogy which was being sold on the same gen AND was nothing more than reprinting the old discs and packaging them in one box.

If we're hating on Golden Abyss now, it's fighting time
Gyro aiming was so much fun
I'm not moving my display in order to line up a shot. That alone will mess up my aiming.

The game was Community Season 4 levels of wrong. It seemed like it was the same at a glance but something just felt wrong.

Man it felt so damn good though. You could be so damn precise once you got used to it.

Though both Community and Golden Abyss did have a Chase in them! :p

$60 is fine for three games.

You could probably get the whole trilogy for $30-35 right now on PS3 so charging $40 for it would be pretty crazy.

1080p/60fps is nice and all, but these games already looked great and played great on the PS3. Just like Last of Us before it, I don't think I can justify double-dipping.

Great news if you never experienced them before though.
I am excited to see what changes they made base on feedback.

The team at Bluepoint Games is incomparable regarding their portfolio of ports and remastered releases, and we’ve been working closely with them to bring over our engine to make Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection an exemplary game. That means not only delivering the single-player campaigns of Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception in 1080p and 60fps with better lighting, textures, and models, but also adding a range of improvements and additions across all three games including Photo Mode and new trophies. We put together the list of these improvements and additions based on countless forum posts, messages, Tweets, and even through personal conversations we’ve had with a number of you over the years. More on these specifics in future updates.

I'd definitely buy it at $40. If they had the MP components - even if just on UC2 - like I thought they would, I would easily buy it at $60.

Yea, if they just had MP for one of the games that would have been awesome. Uncharted 2 as you mentioned, pre-patch ideally. Not that I'd actually play much of it lol, but it's the sentiment that counts. Still think this is a good value deal either way, but it's certainly not exceptional value, mostly because of the MP omission.

Haven't played any and it's Bluepoint. Easy decision, where do I sign? The lack of mp is okay since the beta is there and UC4 is right around the corner. Not enough time to put real playtime into UC Collecton before UC4 comes out. You don't want to cannibalize your own sales. It's the perfect teaser for UC4.

Uncharted 1 is getting a major facelift, I'm sure. Get the character models up to the level of 3, gameplay improvements, it'll be most of the work I'm sure. Uncharted 3 even as a simple 1080/60 port would probably look damn good.

Yep I am sure no tearing will make people happy as well with UC1.

I mean UC1 still looks good today which is amazing.

I've wanted to replay the series lately. Will wait till October now. I've only played the MP in the games for the base trophies towards the platinum so no loss there.

Publishers should totally throw 3 games from back in the day into a remaster pack this October, maybe Tetris, Paperboy and Contra. It seems so many people would be real happy to pay $60 for that, because age makes no difference at all to the value of a game.

If this had Uncharted 2 and 3 multiplayer, I might have been interested in picking this collection.

As it stands now, I have no desire in replaying these boring campaigns over again.

And these three games aren't worth 60 bucks with no multiplayer.

Well improvements and new trophies.

Guess I blast through UC 1 and 2 this summer and get ready to play the whole trilogy in the fall

I'm hoping this isn't going to be bundled with PS4s on Black Friday though since with GCU it will be $48 plus it might even be a $10 reward cert game =|

I wonder if Uncharted 3 will still have a 3D mode but most likely it won't have it due to the low number of 3D enabled PS4 games...

It is kind of sad to see so many people jump on this one while a vast part of the collections out there are pretty much crap and fail to deliver. At least this game does not pretend to give you anything while it does not work. It says no online and an UC4 beta and that is what you knowingly pay for. It is fair to criticise the decision and miss the 2/3 online modes, but acting like it is some kind of anti-consumer rip-off seems silly to me.

While I would've liked an online mode, at least this drives the UC community towards UC4 as a whole. No Golden Abbys is something that I will miss more though, I have no interest in buying a Vita and that damn TV thing does not play it.

Anyways, it is a solid studio so that sparks my interest already. I am looking forward to what changes they make. In the case of the original, I hope it is somewhat substantial (with using UC2/3 assets and engine stuff?). If not substantial, I will wait until it is cheaper probably.

I felt a great disturbance in the Force, as if my wallet suddenly cried out in terror and was suddenly silenced.

Yup. Heart attack. Poor thing. Didn't stand a chance during E3 season.

As an Xbox defector, I can't wait to play this series from the beginning.

Rise of the What Now?

I do think trying to justify God of War 3 for the PS4 at $40 while making Uncharted 1-3 $60 is kind of weird. I thought GoW3 should have been $29.99 at most, especially after seeing footage of it, and while we haven't seen footage of this collection, with the possible exception of UC1, I think $20 each to have them ported to new gen at 1080/60 w/ some extra work is pretty reasonable. It also makes the God of War 3 price proposition even more questionable IMO, and I'll speak with my wallet there and wait until a $10-$20 price drop on it before grabbing it.

That does not like a good Idea honesty.

You should wait.

£49.99 on UK PSN. Overpriced.

Amazon have managed to knock off a tenner in the past. Put a price checker on it.

I was just pointing out that these collections had a pretty universal pricing at $40 barring a few special exceptions like the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection. Whether someone thinks the two game remaster sets should be worth $40 or not isn't really here or there. It's frustrating to see these remasterings bumped up to full retail, especially one missing large parts of the original games. I'm not trying to say people can't value the Nathan Drake Collection at $60 for what it is, but the whole "disagree and be shouted down" nonsense going on in the thread is just tiresome.

I'd get this day one but, September-November will be a busy time for me. MGSV, Halo 5, Forza 6, Battlefront, likely Fallout 4...ain't nobody got time for that.

Not too interested in the MP so the beta's not a huge incentive, I'll pick it up next year before Uncharted 4 drops.
