Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection announced, October 9th, UC4 MP beta access

Yeah, I'll probably be getting this. Don't mind if there's only the beta in to represent the multiplayer stuff,as I never played all that much of them online anyway. And Bluepoint doing the port is great news.

Not to be shitty, but when you rattle off a list of games that are supposed to act as examples of developers' imaginations, maybe don't make six (arguably 7 with Bloodborne) of your eight examples sequels. Unless that was the joke.

EDIT awwww beaten

This collection isn't for me but its cool that they're all bundled together for $60. Will wait to see what other changes they make.

Persona 5 looks imaginative as hell. The Witcher 3 too. Many games on that list, come to think of it. Since whe did "be a new IP" become a prerequisite for a game to be considered imaginative. Please define what imaginative means in your opinion. I find Xenoblade X's world imaginative.

I never finished 2 and never played 3 so I'm pretty excited about this collection. For all the bitching and moaning about remasters they have given me the opportunity to play a lot of games I otherwise would never have played and I'm stoked there are so many of them being made. TLoU is easily one of the best games I've ever played and without a remaster I never would have seen it. DS2 PS4 was the game I always wished the PS3 version had been and the changes made it far superior. Basically, if you've played all of these games before on your old consoles and you have no intention of ever playing them again...good for you, buy other shit. For the rest of us these are a welcome addition to our libraries. It's not like these games replace new games or anything, they are in addition to the new stuff.

It's surprising how many gaffers haven't played the uncharted series yet. Y'all about to have some fun. I'm ready for a plethora of lttps (good and bad)

NO MULTIPLAYER, wow

will get this when its cheap, not interested in playing the single player campaigns again, they were fantastic but like tomb raider and many other single player games, just a one time ride

but what a ride it is, if you never played uncharted, get this PS4 bros
welp, bye bye PS4 then until uncharted 4

Your post is all over the place so I'll start with one thing here: MCC is already out. Uncharted Collection is single player. It better damn work. It doesn't have servers to worry about, heavy patching of glitches due to 3 completely different studios working on different elements of the game and hoping it'll all gel at the 11th hour.

My post just like your opinion is subjective as a lot of people in this thread are excited me included to play uncharted again. I owned all of them on PS3, and rarely played the multiplayer.

Is it less content, I agree it is. But was it possibly a conscious decision because of workflow for Blue point as to not do what 343 did and outsource to make deadline to include multiplayer, whole heartedly yes.

Majority of people who bought Uncharted 2 bought it primarily for single player, all the reviews, and awards it made were for story, character, graphics, and acting. Not many mentions on multiplayer. It was just there, and had a decent following. But nothing to the extent of Gears of war or Halo.
Also after changes to the multiplayer formula were changed and some included in TLOU MP I for one welcomed the changes. I still had about the same mobility as Uncharted MP, but a more options in how to play, and better realized maps. Better weapon feedback, and variety in playstyles.

I still pop on from time to time on PS4.

Now of course, I'm entitled to my opinion and so are you, but the problem here is that you're banging on about how having less content is fine. We don't know the extent of visual upgrade which this collection will show. What we do know is that half of Uncharted 2 and 3 is cut. What we do know is that this is an incomplete collection. What we also know is that Uncharted 2 and 3 were heavily played on PS3 for its multiplayer.

Half of the content is not cut, it's obvious you either never played the multiplayer, or have never played any of the uncharted games. I own almost everything Naughty Dog has put out since 1996. Uncharted are primarily single player games with fairly lengthy (Minus UC1 7-8 hrs)playthrough's, and ton's of extra's to get on your second playthough with harder difficulty.

Half of Uncharted 2 and three is not cut. Only if all you play those games for is online MP then I guess your assumption would be correct. But a majority of people on GAF and on this thread played those games, and TLOU included for single player, with MP being a bonus.

Does it suck they are not there, yea it does. But does it mean I'm only getting half the experience? No, it doesn't.

Now I don't know if you're calling me ignorant, but I strictly said Halo MCC isn't as broken as it once was, besides you can actually play the single player without having problems, (which is what Uncharted Collection apparently is, single player only). You originally stated that the game is still broken, which isn't true. It still has problems yes, but its not in utter despair. If anyone wants to play the campaigns, they can do so with no problems.

My issue with your statement, previously you called me ignorant on the matter when in fact you disregard the problematic issues with the game, and threads that are still open about it now.
Just recently this past year 2015 in around march has matchmaking, and online matches become smooth. And even now people outside US still have a lot of issues with the online portions of the game.
The game still has issues, and there for only certain aspects of the game in certain circumstances can be enjoyed. Co-op didn't work a while after launch.
And halo is more known for it's co-op campaign, and multiplayer.
It's better now I agree, no where near the state it was when it launched, but it took it 6 months to be in the state it's in now.

While uncharted is more known for single player, and it's set pieces. I don't know why you can't seem to grasp that? If halo was more known for single player there wouldn't have been such of fuss and backlash about the terrible state of the games online when it released.
You and a few, on gaf or more importantly are in the minority in thinking this is only half a collection. Your first post said you felt sad that we were happy with less content. The majority of consensus does not give a shit about you feeling bad about the content you think we need so badly.

We are happy they are making the collection, and happy for the Studio who's handling the port. As we know disaster can happen aka MCC aka UST4. We are happy also because TLOU turned out great on PS4.

B]Now as for Halo working at launch, the thing is already out, we can't do anything about it. [/B]Uncharted 3 being 4 years old and coming to PS4 barebones, this collection has no excuse to not work. My original post was pointed towards that. My original post was also strictly pointed towards how people are fine with less content than the original games provided and that's is absolutely sad and disappointing to me. We are the consumers, don't pussy foot around it.

Finally posting a gif to try to get your point across didn't work for me. It doesn't add more to your point, in fact it made me rather upset at how you bolded several parts of my posts but didn't expand or refute them.

Outside of a multiplayer that became a free download on PSN, we are not getting a bare bones collection. GOD OF WAR 3 remaster for 40$ is barebones and not worth the price.

gears of war remaster for 40 bucks even with it's DLC is not worth it. We are not "Pussy footing around it" we don;t really give a shit. If it was such a giant issue, everyone on this thread, on the PS.BLOG would be outraged.

If it was halo that shipped without Multiplayer what do you think the reaction would be?

Thanks Canada.

So happy this is happening :) absolutely love the uncharted series. This has me curious as to what they will do after 4, new protagonist I'm guessing. Would be cool if Nathan showed up at some point during the games though.

Im happy for this release... I never got the chance to play the other titles and i only care about the story so this works out for me.

Looks like I'm finally going to play through and finish UC1. Played the other 2 even though I have a hard policy of not playing sequels without playing the first game in the franchise, but they didn't really rely on the other games at all thankfully.

It's supposed to act as a counter to remasters, which is what he was complaining about. Way to miss the point, guys.

I was just playing devil's advocate, really. Though I would say Splatoon is more imaginative than any of those games listed (No Man's Sky notwithstanding, but I'm still hesitant to believe that's going to be everything they say it will). Besides, not being imaginative doesn't mean a game isn't good.

Now that they mentioned new trophies, I hope you don't have to beat the games several times to get the platinum. A lot of us already beat it multiple times, so difficulty trophies better stack.

Very interested to know what changes and improvements they've made to the games beyond visuals because my first instinct is to ask for an "UC2 and beta only" option. But if they've managed to get Uncharted 1 more in line with 2, and maybe improved the hit detection of 3 (not that it's the only issue I have with that game), I might consider a buy.

Would be cool if they included a trophy for killing a good number of enemies that said Psychopathic Killer. Maybe on Drake's Deception.

No need to get this day one for me, but I MAY be enticed to get this once based ND blesses us with that E3 gameplay demo. Game beta have always been fun times for me (UC2 beta and Destiny beta's were amazing) so I would be awesome to be a part of the UC4 MP beta. And then there's also the benefit of being able to play as fat Drake in UC2 at 60 FPS!

I wish I hadn't replayed Uncharted 1 and 2 so much because of the harder difficulties. I guess that I could replay UC3 and try to beat on Crushing mode.

They already stacked on PS3, but the problem is that crushing wasn't available for first playthrough. Hopefully they go the TLoU:R route and unlock the highest difficulty from the start for double dippers.

1080p? 60fps? Improved Lighting and textures?

but I already own all 3 and I still need to finish the 3rd one. Halfway through.

said I wouldn't get anymore remasters.

*sigh*

So they dropped multiplayer to fit it on one disc? Fine by me. I'm in for digital single player copy anyway.

I'll buy it, as this is a much better deal than God of War 3. Seems like Blue Point is getting all the contracts with Gravity Rush remaster too

People arguing that Uncharted 1 + 2 + 3 remastered for $60 on PS4 is somehow not a good deal...

Hardcore gamers, man.

Those who complain are multiplayer players and also dont understand that Uncharted was famous for single player story but not for multiplayer (which wont last because it will stop working once servers are shut down so its like renting but single player which will work forever thats what we are paying here to own). Also we are getting new multiplayer from UC4 in 4-5 (beta in 2-3) months so it makes no sense not to include them because no one wants to play them when we have next gen multiplayer.

Couldn't agree more. It's like people act like the games are only half the content because of no MP, when the games when released were advertised solely for their Single player campaigns.

I only ever bought Uncharted 2 & 3 after playing the multiplayer betas. I only played the first after borrowing it from a friend, and even then I didn't like it that much. Multiplayer has always been a big part of the Uncharted draw for me, and it's more than just competitive modes that they're leaving out.

I know it'd be a lot of work, but I feel a little resentful all the same. This was the one chance.
