Those swords in the ground...

They finally did it.

Wow that looks amazing, a big departure from the usual DS area just by color alone, can't wait to see how/if this is implemented in game.

Also thanks for the lower third and watermark The Know, great work.

You're in the know, right?

I can't believe the same company would release two games with statues of kneeling people in it. DLC confirmed!
Oh come on it's not just the appearance of kneeling statues, it's the way they're rendered. All the assets for the grass, the statues, the gothic spikes in some of those screens, the raining blood after beating a boss, the geometry and atmosphere, all that are reminiscent of Bloodborne.

I also said I was confused, not arguing that this is confirmation...

Those dont look to be using the DS2 engine, it looks more Bloodborne like... which makes me wonder why would they finally develop a pretty efficient engine just to drop it in the next game...

After putting his name before the initial bloodbourne trailer, and people cheering it, means his name commands a certain amount of excitement and marketing potential to the fans of souls games. Do i think he had much to do with it? No. Do i think they will slap his name all over that thing in the announcment? Yes, absolutely.

Lending his name and actually directing it are two different things though. The rumor was pretty specific about him directing which seems very unrealistic.

Looks like From Software is awful at keeping secrets. If I had actually seen a Dark Souls 3 trailer at E3 without expecting it I would have probably screamed.

Those doesn't look running in the DS2 engine, it looks more Bloodborne like... which makes me wonder why would they finally develop a pretty efficient engine just to drop it in the next game...

Because DS2 engine was shit compared to DS1 and BB.

Probably how they save some time and money.
DeS and DkS1 also had a similar look and feel.
And many design aspects of BB were renamed things from Dark Souls.

This could be done by the majority of the DS2 Team, but they showed they could do SOMETHING interesting with the Crown DLCs. Maybe the babies who cry about BB will have a better time with passive combat or what i would like to call a waste of time most of the time.

. I don't want these kinds of games becoming annualized because I find that to ruin series for me. These games need more development time as it is.

I don't understand this sentiment at all.Do people enjoy waiting for Vaporware like TLG and VersusXIII and Silent Hills ?

FROM has shown that they're more than capable of putting out the best games in the industry in a timely fashion,we should embrace that. Not wish for these games to take 6 years to come out.

Anyway, nothing lasts forever and there will come a time when we look back in disbelief at this golden age ,all while bitching and moaning about a hypothetical future FROM that's a managerial mess.

Just like people mock modern SE's incompetence and constantly compare the current FF output to PSX~early PS2's era almost annual FF output.
