Dark Souls III leaked info and screenshots [RUMOR - Better Details Write-Up]

It's not that BB area. That BB area is like a circle.
Think they're referring to the enemies on the bridge right before Cleric Beast. There's a Brick Troll there with a bunch of crows right before the boss.

My guess would be the body only shows up if they are online, maybe.
Yeah that could work. We'll see!

Thanks for the insult. It sounds like they are just re-skinning the game. Heck, they are even recycling the bosses, weapons and items

Ah, yes. The game that is only a rumor at the moment is recycling bosses, weapons and items based on absolutely nothing, especially when the screenshots show a new boss and method of bonfire usage.

So basically either

1) Someone carefully researched Berserk and FROM games, and carefully built multiple screenshots filled with brand new models, textures and features, and also crafted Souls-like bosses with the same level of imagination as the team making the games, and made references to the same manga that Miyazaki likes to reference, just to make a quick fake before E3.

2) It's real.

How many souls games are there already? 5 with this one? Starts to feel like CoD, Assassins Creed and NFL

Demon's Souls: Feb 2009
Dark Souls: September 2011
Dark Souls II: March 2014
Bloodborne: March 2015

Four games in 6 years is hardly milking. Especially not on the level of annual releases. I guess the Batman games are yearly releases as well.

Wow, the screens look like a lovechild of Demon's Souls and Bloodborne. Some of it looks like Yharnam, and other screens look right out of Boletaria. The monster/structure off to the right in the bleeding sun screenshot looks
like the structure that housed the final boss of Demon's Souls
.

Uh....huh....

Demon's Souls - Feb '09 (JPN), Oct '09 (NA), June '10 EU

(2.5 years since Japanese release of Demon's Souls to Dark Souls 1)

Dark Souls - Sept '11 (JPN), Oct '11 everywhere else, PC version in 2012

(2.5 years since release of Dark Souls 1 to Dark Souls 2)

Dark Souls 2 - March 2014

(Bloodborne developed by a separate team in conjunction with Demon's Souls 2)

Bloodborne - March 2015

(At least 2 years since Dark Souls 2 release)

Dark Souls 3 - 2016

Yeah, no. 2-2.5 years is a good time for a sequel to be made. Even though the general opinion is to lump Demon's Souls and Bloodborne in with Dark Souls and just label it all as the "Souls series", Demon's Souls and Bloodborne have different lore and little connection to the Dark Souls series outside of very similar mechanics.

Demon's Souls - 2009 (February)
Dark Souls - 2011 (October)
Dark Souls II - 2014 (March)
Bloodborne - 2015 (March)
Dark Souls III - 2016 (October-November Is my guess)

That seems reasonable to me. The only thing that makes it seem like milking, maybe, is because of Bloodborne and the remaster of DSII, but Bloodborne was a game made at the request of Sony, and is a new IP, no matter how much of the Souls DNA is in it. 2.5/3 years between releases is perfectly reasonable as far as I'm concerned

Indeed. They went from Demon's to Dark Souls in two years and what a masterpiece that turned out to be. No reason they cannot do it yet again, going from Dark Souls II in 2014 to Dark Souls III in 2016. I know we had Bloodborne as well, but that was an exclusive project with Sony. The next Dark Souls is arriving right on time.

Polygon have just contacted Bandai Namco, so it will be interesting to see what their reply is on the leak. Will it be "we don't comment on rumours" which would likely lead to the screenshots being true. Or deny it the way Phil did with silent hill.

finally at home, now i can see these on my monitor
this MUST be real. i mean, how much work does somebody need to fake all of these?

team legit

!

Sure, but there's no flag as far as I recall there and the Cleric Beast bridge doesn't look like the bridge or whatever in the screenshot.

this picture. Shitty quality but I love it. Reminds me of Undead Burg with hints of DS2.
Dark Souls 3 recycled trash confirmed, 0/10 will not buy

I'm so irrationally excited now. What are those black tendrils, you think? Hard to make out because of compression. Just gnarled vegetation in the shadows? Or an Amygdala-like creature creeping around? I must knooooow

They were not saying the screen was pulled from Bloodborne, only that it reminded them of it. Which it does.

So according to your logic CoD comes out every 2 years as well since Black Ops and Advanced/Modern Warfare have nothing in common outside of very similar mechanics

It will suck if the PC version is never made. I don't want to play this at 30FPS.

But I will anyway if I must.

DS3 done by B-Team confirmed.

And yeah, we're thinking along the same lines, especially considering this other picture.

Yes? I mean it's true. They don't make a CoD game annually, they just release them annually. It's fine that some people don't like CoD games, but they still sell a ton of people who do play them seem pretty happy with the quality. Annual franchises doesn't mean rushed crappy stuff. But I'm sure some fans will feel fatigued. That's normal.

After just getting off Bloodborne with over 100 hours of playtime...

IM READY FOR MORE DARK SOULS BABY!!

BRING ON E3!! (if its there...)

All I'm saying is I interpreted that screenshot as more medieval and war-torn than what Bloodborne had going on.

If you told me this was the BB expansion I'd say wellthereitis.gif. Lot of those assets look wholesale lifted straight out of BB.

Look, Demon's Souls released in 2009, Dark Souls in 2011, Dark Souls II in 2014 and Dark Souls III will likely launch late in 2016. We also got Bloodborne, but that was due to a direct request from Sony, and the game shouldn't be counted as its a new IP. I don't see the milk here at all.
