i know, but i dont want to get into the game when the community is already dying down and its harder to find other players.. and i have other games to play too.

it would just be much more exciting if they really took their time to craft something
truly amazing and polished (say 3-4 years), instead i feel they're just going through the motions and pumping these out asap to maximize profits. which is understandable i guess, just fails to make me excited.
 
This looks way too legit to discount. I'm actually excited for this after not being excited for DaS2. Really hoping its current gen only so they can make the hardware sing as with Bloodborne (after the patch :p).

I was actually going to ask just this. The lighting was the one bit I was for whatever reason seriously put off by, but the locales look incredibly interesting so I think I'll end up getting SOTFS when it is $20-30 or so.

But they've always crafted amazing experiences (according yo fans and reciweres alike) and your "going through the motions" claim is completely unfounded. Many studios have wasted years just to come out with mediocre titles. Time does not equal quality especially when you have a team with creative vision and laser focus.

No offense but it just seems like youve already committed to a negative assumption that has no basis in fact. People complain about the mario series all the time but youd be hard pressed to find a series with that many games while retaining that level of quality.

The reason for "new bosses" is that Gwyndolin is revived as Femto to be the final boss in Derq Sewz 3.

And I'll still be playing Bloodborne and Dark Souls when it does, if I can't get tired of the same games, no way I'll get tired of new ones.

But its timing, in my personal case, was bad. Now i had Bloodbourne, will play its DLC and then move on to DaSoIII. It just never had a chance.

Nah, I wouldn't. Platinumed Bloodborne, bought a PS4 after playing Dark Souls, and immensely regret buying SotFS. Maybe get on super sale?

He has said so himself that he is pretty anal about stuff being done in a specific way, and that he thinks the teams he leads do get tired of how much he has to tell them. But he also says that a lot of talent flourished during the development of BB so overall it's looking pretty good on the production end.

Maybe people will be happy getting more of the everything a souls game encompasses, though the loot-game of the souls games will have to be split in two schools of thinking , one that wants a shit ton of stuff, and two a very refined selection of incredibly complex weapons. But it seems most people just want more magic and that is the end of it.

If you haven't played Bloodborne I would heartily recommend it... after you beat Dark Souls + DLC and before you start Bloodborne

Playing Bloodborne I can go back to Dark Souls 1 but not 2...they hampered the player controls too much in Dark Souls 2 for me.

Would be hugely disappointing if there was no PC version. Especially considering that the console version will likely be 30fps if the graphics are on par with bloodbourne.

This is great advice! SotFS just plays so horribly, probably so you could "Prepare to Die".
 
I don't think I can get tired of this series. I've bought every Souls game since Dark one day one with no hesitation, including SotfS. Fuckin straight into my veiiiiiins.

It's just that it has been sort of a running joke that people aren't sure the game is exclusive, don't think too much about it.

DS2 is a great game, it just happens to be the followup to one of the best games of the last generation if not of all time. That's a hard act to follow and it gets rightly criticized for being the worst of the series, but it's still better than the majority of games and very much worth playing.

Beat Demon's twice. NG++ on 3 characters in DS1. NG+ on 2 characters in DS2, NG+ in Bloodborne.

I don't think anyone dislikes DS2 enough to not recommend it for 30 bucks.
 
If legit, this looks fantastic. And if Miyazaki returns to the healm. I'm all in for another Dark Souls. 2 Left a lot to be desired for me, personally.
 
They really need to stop being lazy and make Demon's and Dark Remasters. Imagine playing Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, Dark Soups SotFS, Bloodborne, and Dark Souls III all on the same console 😍
 
I'm not deflated by this news because of any Souls fatigue - as I'm not sure that would be possible, I love these games. I'm only concerned this is too soon generally as it has only been just over a year since the last release. If the game releases late next year it wouldn't be so bad, I'm just hoping if anything my personal grievances about DS2 have been attended to. I suppose the announcement of this would cement From into a two team cycle, so we can expect something else from the Bloodborne team. I wonder which conference this will be announced at? Maybe MS bagged it.

I had a f'd up nightmare just last night. Dreamt I was playing DaS3 when these troll-like creatures (looking kind of like the rock-throwers from Bloodborne) slowly came out of these tunnels after my character, but then turned towards me.

The trolls ignored my character as he ran off, and they stalked closer to the TV screen. As they got closer, the TV disappeared and my walls changed to the tunnel walls. I was right there with them! I stood in place confused, shocked, and terrified, before I realized I had to back away. But it was too late; they suddenly rushed up on me. Then I woke up.

My first thought was oh shit! They had me!

Second thought was my punk ass character ran off. He had weapons and didn't even try to help.

Third thought was posting it on Gaf.
 
I mean, I want to be excited, but I haven't even finished BB.

Maybe next year I'll be feeling the itch for more Soul games, but I can't say I'm feeling it now. Still happy it is being made, though. Just not sure about the time.
