I've been saying it on two other threads and I'll say it in this one too. The Last Guardian is totally going to be there. I believe.

No.

I don't think so. TLG is dead.

i didn't believe it in 2010, 2011, 12, 13, even last year.

now, for some reason, i am fully on-board the hype train. without a doubt it's gonna be there and i am hyped! woooohoooo!

Yeah, that is what I meant. I know the Guardian is a well respected News Source, just wasn't sure how they were on the gaming side of things. That said, it seems they are pretty consistent in all of their sections, and care about their reputation.

I guess I'm just to news sources over here, farming out their Entertainment sections to bloggers, who are more trigger happy with posting rumors, because of clicks etc.

Look at it this way: what does it do to The Guardian's credibility if they're wrong about The Last Guardian?

Nothing. Nada. Zilch. Nothing is at stake for their reporting here except their reputation on NeoGAF. Snowden isn't about to drop them over this. (Assange might, had he not so noisily broken up with them already.) Their pop entertainment coverage is really no better than any other outlet in the generalist market, although they do commission some interesting features on games from time to time from the likes of Rich Stanton. Certainly my experience with their literary coverage, to pluck out one example, has not been the most consistent.

I've got my Amazon order from 2012 waiting. This would make E3 for me if it does happen...and then actually releases at some point by December 2016. We shall see.

We already have have a thread on the last guardian. This one should be merged with the support group thread
New news, new thread?

Don't get it. Why doesn't Sony just announce its dead so we don't see this kind of circus any more. Unless they enjoy this lol

Its freaking before every E3 and TGS that it will be shown leading to disappointments.

All great points.

I'm...officially on the hype train. Oh boy. Here we go. Told myself I would never do it again.

Oh god he fixed Zelda, he left TLG untouched.

Ignore the fact that Zelda U appears in the gif and it will make sense lol

I know...
It's for those who think the Zelda mistake automatically invalidates everything else. Just taking a look through his Twitter should show that he at least knows something about gaming.

Ah okay, just making sure you or others aren't taking that the wrong way.

So is Y2Kev gonna put his account on the the line with this? He seems so sure that it won't be there 😝

I think he was saying that the game is not the same game at all. It exists but not as we know it, and the guardian article suggests this may be the case also.

So I think it's getting fairer to assume at this point something rather dramatic has changed, due to not working out, and holding the game up for so long as a result.

Well they need something to fill the hole left with the Uncharted 4 move right? Right?

I am so conflicted. I want this game to exist, but I also feel its going to be exactly like the Penny Arcade comic.

To be released October 18, 2015, the 10 year anniversary of SOTC.

I will believe this when I see it, but one way of the other, I really hope Sony is just definitive this year - reveal it or shut it down forever. Once there was hype here - now there is only pain

But he also said he didn't mean it in the sense the it's title or concept had changed. Just hope we know one way or the other this year.

Sony have a history of cancelling games and shutting down studios. They would shoot this dog if it's dead
