Koji Igarashi Kickstarts Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night (2.5D, backdash, 2018)

Highly underappreciated hilarity right here.

Also, I don't get it, where is that 5m stretch goal? I know we are still a million away, but we are seriously getting low on time. I hope they know what they're doing.

They look like they won't be revealing it until we break through the other stretch goals. If that's true, it's incredibly foolish and pretty cruel considering Ben Judd is constantly hyping it up.

The thing is, shipping to Mexico will likely be tricky, slow and/or expensive, so I'd prefer being able to buy it from Play-Asia or other site like I'll do with MN9. Even if I'll miss the cool extras :[

Digital completely out of the question for you? As for the shipping situation, I have no idea if they're charging a flat fee or not, but it's possible it wouldn't be all that expensive.

Which system do you plan on getting it on? If you're getting PC physical version they said they'll email you a GOG or steam key before the game is sent out. Link

Oh, I'm going digital on PC but I really want a physical copy :P Probably on WiiU. Apparently they're charging $5 USD for international shipping, which on top of the $60... yeah, I think I'll just back it for $28 (PC digital) and then buy my WiiU copy when it gets released.

I don't know your monetary situation, but you should really consider just getting the PC physical copy since you'll have the digital code sent to you before the actual physical copy ships out. That way you can still get your cake and eat it too, so to speak.

In addition, remember that the $60 tier when selecting PC allows you to partake in the beta whereas the $28 will not offer the same bonus.

$3,877k + 126k (Paypal) = Online Challenge Mode GET!

you guys get that alucard used swords in symphony of the night right

Ok? I guess you point is "this game is trying its best to be the new Symphony of the Night so this makes sense"? Still would prefer to rock a whip and have the best/2nd best item in the game be a whip that we voted on.

More like 24 hours & 35 minutes away. At least, that's what Kicktraq says.

Then that's only 35 minutes away!

C'mon guys, the kickstarter ends on Friday. We're 20 minutes from the last 72 hours.

I'm not so sure if I think the backer exclusive stuff is good.

Iga boss fight, man, as shitty as it is that people who didn't back won't get it, I can understand that (at least make it for all backers, ffs), but the swordwhip could become this series' thing, as much as the whip was Castlevania's. I think it's a huge mistake to make it a backer only thing.

For those of you who don't understand why swords won:

DEAD. Seriously, I died.

oh crap, i just remembered the backer exclusive content is only in the 60 dollar version :/

125 isn't 2 backer exclusive versions, is it?

Edit:

Guess it is:
We've added a digital $60 tier with the bonus boss and Swordwhip, so all digital versions in the $60, $125, $175, and $250+ tiers include the bonus content.

Staying at the 125 version then.

For $60 and up.

aww man that sucks some shit yo.

I want this on Steam so i just saw the digital 60 version with the soundtrack and backer stuff. I cant believe kickstarter is tempting me with that shit. I never go that high. I might do it during the final push. Soundtrack and that IGA boss would be nice....but you know that shit gonna be DLC at some point.

The one thing I was wondering about this was if you went for a physical console version and then got the PC version for the digital version (at $125 or $175), would that give you access to the beta on PC? It sounds like it would with the verbiage about both versions including all of the bonus content, but it doesn't explicitly state that.

For anyone wondering, $28 add-ons do NOT contain any of the bonus content, even if your normal tier would qualify you for it. Jeez, I need a scorecard to keep all of this straight.

I can see the soundtrack being sold at some point, but they've been pretty adamant to mention the Kickstarter exclusive stuff will remain just that. Heck, they're very reluctant to allow people the chance to continue backing after the campaign is done for that very reason.

I backed it at $60 for the express purpose of getting said content. I said I wouldn't do it due to to concerns, but I still love Igavanias and it would be blasphemous if I passed on duking it out with Igarashi himself in-game.

I hope so. Especially the Swordwhip. I really really really want it to become a staple for the Bloodstained series.

Was sitting at the $28 tier, but I really can't say no to a physical copy+bonus content. Gonna have to hit up the paypal after the KS campaign ends probably.

This is a good idea but I'd rather avoid having my physical copy sent via any service that isn't something like FedEx or UPS (I'm a bit paranoid about that stuff) and for $5 I'm guessing they'll use regular air mail. That's why I'd rather buy my physical version from an online store when the game gets released, and if I'm double dipping then I want a PC copy and a WiiU one. It's definitely sad that I'll miss the beta, but I also missed it for my most hyped KS project (MN9) so I'll live :P

Actually we should have it already, the PayPal pledges are at $126k now.
Oh gawd please let the 3DS mini game happen!

Yeah, it does. Anyone who backs PC kickstarter version (physical or digital) gets beta access.

The Steam key will be e-mailed to you so you don't have to wait for shipping. And all $60+ physical and digital PC games include beta access; you'll be e-mailed the key at that time.
To clarify some information:
-DRM-free physical and digital PC copies are now available as an option via GOG.
-The disc is not actually playable by itself--it's merely an installation disc that downloads the game onto your Steam/GOG account. The download key is still required.
Sorry for the confusion; I hope that makes sense! Please let me know if anything else needs clarification. Thank you!

You can do physical PC copy, it comes with a beta cd key that is emailed to you and you redeem it on steam. Physical is just an install disc (and a nice box!) So you may as well go physical for the same price!

I was hoping by now they would have found a way to allow people to upgrade their pledges after the Kickstarter ended. I know a couple of the ones I've backed in the past, such as Clannad, allowed it, and I'd really love to have pledged for the $300 tier [and not just the $100 one].

Unfortunately, I'm a bit strict on money at the moment, so there's not a lot I can do. :/

Well, the physical version doesnt mention the soundtrack or guide so i imagine thats the incentive to go digital. Disc is literally just for the box and in my old age im finding less value in physical on steam. Go figure, i was warrior for the no-drm fiasco back in the day. fucking brainwashing

That's indeed the incentive to go for the digital $60 tier especially if you're picking PC. As for no-DRM, you could always get a GOG copy unless you're a Steam only user.

Oh, that's true, I guess you get those digital goodies as a bonus.

Alright everyone, let's get this up to 5 mil!

Maybe if they weren't constantly hiding the damn stretch goals, they'd make it more easily. Even if it was unlikely to reach it to begin with, hiding the 5 mil goal pretty much just ensures that it'll never have a chance.
