He settled it outside of court. What do you think happened?
He claims that the allegation was a lot of bullshit, and it was one of the things that helped to strain his relationship with Tecmo since they seemed to "side" with her, but yeah, as said above, he settled out of court. That doesn't prove guilt since there's a few reasons one would go this route, but it doesn't exactly make anyone look good to do so.

There are a number of reasons why parties would choose to settle out of court. So there is no proof or conviction of sexual harassment and to assert/allude/claim otherwise would be wrong, unfair and disingenuous

I beat Sleeping Dogs already and it was pretty good imo. Probably one of the better combat systems in an open world game.

I hope there will be lots of gameplay impressions shown during E3 for Devil's Third. A more in depth look at it might be a turnaround for some people if it actually turns out to be fun. Didn't they show this during last year's Treehouse? Vaguely remember it being shown and I hope they will cover it again.
it's good that this game exists. worst case: is hilarious, stupid, makes people laugh. best case: has genuinely good gameplay because they focused on that and its been worked on by people that love well made action.
the graphics remind me fondly of a time before you were an either an absurd triple aaa bonanza or a smaller indie game, with no scope in between, and the traditional console gaming market was exciting and weird and surprising and made me happy instead of a grumpy bore. it's a happy accident, stuck out of time, bless it and its deep, essential ps2ness.

I will never put anybody on a pedastal for 1 great game followed by much weaker follow ups.

When this passes for an in-game cutscene and promotional material, I can't help but wonder if it's a one-off or more frequent occurrence.
I didnt thought the cutscenes, or even graphics looked that bad.
certainly better looking in motion.
I didn't think DOA4 was that bad. And not everyone dislikes Ninja Gaiden II and some think it's fantastic.
I also don't know what the hell that last sentence is supposed to mean. Are you saying people who are fans of something are sub-human? I'll give you the benefit of the doubt and assume not, because that's really stupid to say.

I am not implying that fans are subhuman. I am saying people by and large can't be objective when they become fans. Take Knicks fans, I find them highly irrational but I'd never call them sub human.
By and large most people who like fighting games would not like DOA4, there was no character variety, everybody played the same when they were first not designed as such, the man hate fighting games and a whole assortment of issues.
That said most fighting game players probably won't see that DOA5 is much better because I don't expect them to be objective either.
As to NG2, I think it's a great game but some people forget it;s a downgrade from Black which was the third iteration on the system.

Im still hoping this will be a decent bargain bin game, something that has a lot of flaws but has a good, fun gameplay system at its core.
NG3 RE was the worst action game i ever played but still got a few hours of fun out of it, if this is a good step above that i might support it.

who are you even talking about. What cult of personality? I think you've invented these itagaki worshippers. They arent here, which is where they would be, i assume. I think its ok to continue acknowledging his success, considering it was a pretty major success. The weak games dont invalidate it.
I thought this game looked bad last E3, and it still doesn't look great but... it looks like it could be a charmingly weird game with solid mechanics. Reminds me of a niche Dreamcast game on crack.
I'm expecting reviews and general opinions to be wildly mixed, but I'm definitely not expecting it to be objectively broken or painfully bad.

I don't really forget that, but it's a downgrade from perfection to flawed perfection, so I mean, yeah, I still think NGII is god-tier or near.

Yup, anyone with a decent understanding of game development and a sense of reason could tell you that Itagaki's Ninja Gaiden 2 was kicked out the door before it was ready. Like...the man, along with half his team quit on the day of release from what I remember, and he proceeded to successfully sue the company over unpaid bonuses. There was obvious a lot of tension there, which certainly didn't help anything. I sincerely doubt it couldn't have been in the same ballpark of quality if they had been allowed to finish it. The combat system itself is god-tier in NGII, plus DOA has always been a great fighting game in my opinion.
As for Devil's third, the gameplay looks like it could definitely have some Itagaki-style depth and balls-to-the-wall viciousness. The cutscenes and character designs sort of look cheesy in a heavy metal magazine sort of way. I'm hopeful it will be great at it's core, although I am worried Itagaki's inexperience with shooter design could prove to hurt the game. Lets be honest though, games aren't made by one person, except small indie project. It takes a big, great crew, with great culture, discipline, a lot of creativity, passion and hard work to make a game truly shine, and team NInja had that for NInja Gaiden. We'll see if Valhalla has it.

I like how somehow you are the only one who can objectively analyze these games and everyone who disagrees with you can be dismissed out of hand because they are a "fan." Thank you for that, it made me smile.

Yeah, it wouldn't surprise me if the NA release date is the same as EU's.
This is NoA we're talking about though, so extreme caution is always needed, in order to temper expectations.
That is what it reminded me of too. Looks fun (even though not the best graphically)
I will check it out for sure. I love me a Vanquish slide (Plus Itagaki is involved so I am sold)
