Seems to have recovered the total.

My pledge remains intact!

The push for the portable prequels is basically met with PayPal backers. Now we await that final rush tomorrow to see if we can hit $5 Million.

Still quite a lot missing. It was around $4.96 million when the glitch happened.

Tomorrow? Pfft at the rate we're going I wouldn't be surprised if we woke up to 5 million hit

I get the feeling that the current amount might actually be the correct amount.
for the 30 minutes leading up to the crash the total went up really fast (like jumping 10 k every 5 minutes), so it might be that Kickstarter was already starting to glitch out at that point

Whether the dollar amount is correct or not is something we don't know. But the fact is we lost about 150 backers in the backer count.

It'll suck if those 150 people don't check back and then the kickstarter ends and they can't pledge any more. Well, they could through paypal if they didn't pledge at a tier with a limited quantity.

So yeah my projection that it will hit 4.75m by next morning is on point.
You guys better prove me wrong and hit the roguelike by the time I wake up!

It's also possible 150 people back out at the end.

If I want to get the alchemist treasure tier with the ps4 edition ($110) plus an extra physical copy for Vita ($60) do I back the alchemist treasure tier at $110 and add an extra $60 on for the extra vita copy? Also it says $10 for shipping. Is that for each item or all up? ATM I have $170 pledged.

I upped my pledge from the $28 digital tier to the $60 digital tier a bit ago. Honestly I can't say that I care too much about the $5 million stretch goal because I'm not a big fan of randomly generated dungeons but I do like the PC prequel mini game.

I'm seriously considering going to a $100 to get my name in the credits. I mean when else will I get the opportunity to have my name in the credits of a disc game?

The thing is based on donation tiers there could be 34,000 other names in the credits too.

The way I think about it is just do it. If don't you do it now, you will most likely regret the decision later when you can't change it. All it means is that you will get 2hour long credits at the end lol. But hey your name will be there somewhere along with ours aha.

There's a good chance I ultimately will but $40 is still a lot of money for name (no real interest in the other bonus stuff).

Alright, since we're nearing the end, I'm gonna make my donation. I looked over the kickstarter page and think I've got a handle on everything, but if anyone can confirm (or confirm to not confirm) the following I'd appreciate it:

1) The in-game backer content is exclusive to the $60, not $28 tier, correct? I'm not interested in the physical extras, the game content's all I care about.

2) Is the exclusive content available fresh on the cart (or disc) or retrieved/unlocked via a download code? I didn't see an answer to this question anywhere. "I don't know." is a fine answer, I'd just like to know if I missed it.

1) Yes. 60+ gets you the goods. Just today we had IGA respond to an email to confirm that the 125 tier which is a physical and digital copies nets you bonus content for both. If you had bought a 60 physical and 28 digital however, that wouldn't work.

2) Pretty sure it'll be a redeemable code, DLC for the backers only.

So I'm at the $300 level. I don't know if I'll have the cash for this by the end or I'd just up my pledge now, but I'm really considering a physical copy for every system. I could in the next two years buy one each at a time at my leisure. I don't think that would be hard at all. So another $240. Have I gone nuts? Will I actually do it? Decisions....

Cool, thanks. Gonna spend the next day deliberating.

So how do add-ons work?

I'm in for the $100 level for PS4. Maybe even $150 for the hard bound art book. But a physical Vita copy would swell as well.

Currently you can add another tier IE back at $150 for physical and art book, + $60 (for a $210 pledge) then in the backer survey say you want an extra $60 dollar tier for a second physical game.

Need to average around 14.3k an hour until the end for 5m. It's been doing like 20k per hour, though, and we just had another $10k spike because a 3rd person backed at the IGAVENTURE tier.

I wonder what happened to that money after kickstarter bugged out. It took 3 hours to get the total back to where it was before it happened.

Lol, fucking konami.

As I said earlier, I feel that there is a disconnect between publishers simply not understanding that demand for these sorts of games indeed exist, yet they firmly believe it doesn't.

The above three examples in the image simply prove the opposite. It's a unfortunate situation but I understand these publishers don't want to take risks. It's just a shame they have the mindset that everything needs to be a AAA seller or nothing nowadays.

At least I'll be able to play Bloodstained when the time comes. From what I can see so far, it'll contain everything I want in a Igavania game (multiple playable characters, large Castle to explore, multiple modes, etc) It's hitting all of the right notes.

But in one hour we are approaching the last 24 hours of this campaign. It is soon time to celebrate an amazingly successful kickstarter, and less to grieve about publishers thinking they know more then us about what we want.

They may have some point in the world of the AAA/AAAA titles where your game cost millions to make and needs to sell millions to make a profit stuff like Mega Man or Banjo Kazooie or Castlevania the audience simply isn't there for it... and it never was. The audience for those games has always been a smaller more dedicated fan base and the bigger publishers have seemingly lost sight that you can have games that fall between AAAA mega block busters and f2p2w mobile titles.

We're not getting to that 5,000,000 mark in time, are we GAF? Think we might get those procedurally generated dungeons anyway, regardless of the final stretch goal?

It's happening, MN9 got like 600k in it's final day and Bloodstained has already gotten more money AND is closer to it's final stretch goal going into the final day then that game was. We'll be fine

That can keep taking paypay for months till they absolutely have to lock down the project dev wise. Shantae hit several goals post Kickstarter, and Star citizen...well, they actually ran out of goals because literally everything conceivable was funded.
