What is the sword-whip exactly? I hate to miss out on content but i dont know if i can justify an extra 32$ for iga boss and sword-whip.

Any way I can watch this stream from the very begining. I just got back from a day trip to Delaware and I was gone since 10AM this morning (It was like 4.6m at the time) I come home and find out we blew way past 5.5m, so I need to catch up with the rest of you guys!

Paying 32$ more for backer content is actually too much for me.
Shame, I would have loved to pay 5-10$ to support the campaign even more (and get that exclusive content).

Twitch has an archive section for each channel that you can catch up on.

Try this

You make a fair point, and maybe I was a bit unfair to them. I just can't get over how distasteful I find MN09's presentation and it has (perhaps unfairly) made me more hesitant to back Bloodstained. But I might still back it. I'm a big fan of Iga's vanias.

Have you seen the Bloodstained footage though? Obviously it's an extremely early prototype, but it's already way more faithful to the concept art than Mighty No. 9 ended up being.

"Pure Miriam" more like "Sexy Miniskirt Miriam"
Trade at a slight chest peek and open back dress for "level A" Zettai Ryouiki, don't know what's better, lol.

Edit:
What did he say? I'm at work at can't watch the stream. I'm really interested in that.
I think they basically said that it may be more tough to be an indie in Japan ATM, since there is a stigma against PC games, and it is harder for indies anywhere to get on consoles than PC. I think they hoped that campaigns like these could change the landscape so that PC becomes more accepted in Japan.

Cool how accurate IGA's comments about VR are. Seems he keeps up with current affairs.
Yep, and he seems like a down to earth nice guy.

I'd love it if they did a star citizen style weekly production report youtube show. (if you're reading this Mr Judd, please make this happen.)

I want a high quality capture of the full stream eventually (I know Twitch will have it in past broadcasts for awhile), but failing that, thank you, you've captured my favorite parts thus far.

np

And goddammit, I just realized the video capture was grabbing audio from the external speakers not the internal soundcard. Fuck, but still you can still hear what Ben Judd has to say when he translates which I guess is the most important as long as you turn it up and when you consider everyone else is speaking Japanese.

Interesting info about the Japanese indie community. I actually never really thought about it, but all this time I hear about indie games, none of them are Japanese.

They're more commonly know as doujins so you will hardly find them in google into the keyword on googlge as indy games.

For example : if you're an anime fan, then you should know Fate Stay night.
It started as an doujin/indy game and it became so popular that it gots an anime adaptation.

Other indy followed the same fairy tale like Corpse party, Utawaremono, Tears to Tiara and the Golden witch (forgot the name).
They had remakes in HD graphics, etc... When Japan fall in love with an Indy, you can be sure that it will become a buzz.

There's a pretty big Japanese indie scene, actually. Touhou (and the plethora of fangames of the series) is one of the prime examples, for instance.

Oh geez. I'm on the spot. I hope I explain this clearly. Well, he said that gaming in Japan since its inception was almost exclusively arcade and console and with indie games they're primarily on PC, while PC has never really had any prevalence in gaming in Japan. It is possible to develop games on a PS4 or a XBox One, but it's a lot harder to compared to PC so a lot of people don't bother. And he said some other stuff I forgot.

It's insane that this already at 5.5M+, given the fact that pledges will continue to come in even after the Kickstarter ends. I know, myself personally, will be up-pledging. I have a feeling quite a few more will be doing the same. It's difficult to say just how high this will go.

Great stuff.
