You see this is how it's done. The night before E3 all things are possible, HL3, TLG, Shenmue 3 on DREAMCAST 2 (a double unveiling!!!!!!!), RARE making real games again...

Yakuza 5 US only rerelease featuring fully playable copy of Shenmue in the game. Obvs.
You sum it up pretty much perfectly. I guess hype is whats its all about now in the game industry
I do this for Shenmue and used to do it for the Amiga.

Nice title change. I'll be happy with just the 1&2 HD remaster since I've never played them before.
I'll still be sad if nothing happens though, I have a lot of love for this series considering I've never played any of them. The music is incredible and I've listened to it for years.

Yeah, the remasters are something even die hard fans are asking for heh.
A third game with 1 and 2 would be the best case scenario, but then again, I'm not holding my breath for any miracles.

they will announce Shenmue III first with I+II HD shortly afterwards (limited physical version too).

Rumors of a third Shenmue?! I thought it was just a mention or part of Sony's "Building the List" thing with a PS4/PS3 HD Remaster of the first and second game....and now their are reports of the Heavy Rain studio making the third Shenmue?
.....I highly, highly doubt that would happen honestly :l. I mean, Sega is cool with sharing their licences to IP for good deals/causes (the Bayonetta 2 situation for example) and they aren't strangers to making HD remasters of Saturn/Dreamcast games (they did this for both Adventure games, Jet Set Radio, Nights, Space Channel 5 Part 2, Sega Bass Fishing and Crazy Taxi). So, a HD remaster of the Shenmue 1 and 2 is very likely, considering all the hints the creator of the series has been sharing (why post a picture of a forklift if you aren't showing something with Shenmue?)
If, and this is a big one, Sony were to fund a third entry in the series....I think they would put Sony Bend, Ready at Dawn or Studio Japan on the project. Thinking about it....Studio Japan has been quiet with their output on home consoles (they just finished their Vita projects with Orishika and Freedom Wars, alongside finishing in assisting From Software with Bloodborn), then there are the teams from Puppeteer and Knack putting out nothing since 2013.....I could see both of those teams helping Sega out in making a Shenmue game honestly

Kind of pointless since his moveset is almost dentical to Akira's. Also nugget of gaming history Shenmue was originally conceptualised as a Virtua Fighter RPG, most of Shenmue's bosses have movesets lifted right out of Virtua Fighter as well.

Well if you go by the time period Shenmue is set in and Ryo's agent in game, Ryo and Kazuma are nearly the same age, both were born in 1968.

This is the worst, and I swear if Suzuki is playing with our hearts again I'm just going to stop paying attention to anything he says because my heart just can't take it anymore. My prediction would be that we'll get a Shenmue HD release during Sony's conference. I don't think we'll see Shenmue 3 just yet, but if I recall correctly, Sony has said previously that Shenmue is one of the most requested games they get.
Apparently according with someone on gaf who met with Gio Corsi at psx, they where holding back due to how poorly some of those dreamcast collections sold on PS3/360 and also because of licensing issues with the engine both shenmue 1 and 2 include. Apparently parts of the engine were made by some company that went down the drain a while back and they don't know who owns the engine.
In other words they don't want to get sued after releasing the hd collection. There is red tape in the way. Hopefully, someone helped sega get through that red tape..
