The story sounds like your usual Metal Gear mess. Expectations there are pretty much zero.

Hopefully the Motherbase crap won't interfere too much with the awesome gameplay they crafted.
 
MGS is just something else. You watch the Microsoft conference and it seems like everyone's run out of ideas. Then there's this. Making the rest of the industry look boring.
 
Someone correct me if my political term usage isn't right, but isn't what the trailer is describing(cultures living alongside each other, without being assimilated) closer to Canada's multiculturalism than America's melting pot?

Like I could just be remembering stuff wrong, would appreciate a clarification here because I was confused for a second.

Snake was never blonde. He cuts his hair short in the mgs briefing, not dyes it.

I mean why the fuck would he still be dying it in mgs2.

I was on blackout & someone spoiled that trailer for me, so I watched it. FUCK, that reveal would have been amazing when playing the game.

Solidus was born after them, also by a different mother, he was also just an exact balanced clone of Big Boss so he had dark hair, Snake and Liquid were modified.
 
Is it just me or do the graphics continue to Improve every time we see the game?

Also, we still don't know much of anything about the plot, everything is shrouded in mystery.

It's like Kojima is expressing what he feels through his last work here.

Sooo good! I've been playing MGS from the beginning and I simply cannot wait for MGS V to come out, the trailer is gorgeous!

Kojima you've done it again! You are gonna be sorely missed.
 
Some William S Burroughs/Word-Virus stuff going on in that trailer.

They also reference the Sapir/Whorf hypothesis which happens to be the cornerstone of a little book called '1984'. It posits that the structure of language affects the way we view and understand the world. An example would be, if you don't know any words for something like 'freedom', how can you identify, express or even understand the experience?

That's some heavy shit.
 
I continue to have no idea why people go mental about this game. I've tried my best to follow them through GB and even completed the latest game on the PC but this trailer did nothing for me.

Is it just a fan service thing? I feel complete lost looking at the responses in this thread.
