well they put a temp hold on that goes away after a few days. so as long as you have the funds to cover that for a few days you would be fine.

Psyched we can finally talk about some of this stuff. I'm really excited about the "Freestyle Guitar Solo" gameplay which is totally unique, new musical gameplay that's a departure from beatmatch stuff. (We didn't just, you know, change the color of some notes and move things around.) You've not really played anything like it and it feels great. It's kind of like SSX with guitar licks. Looking forward to people giving it a shot.

Guitar and game bundle is $130. I can do that.
I did quite a lot and a lot of other people did too.
It's a tough pill to swallow, honestly. Hopefully it's something they work on and launch shortly after release.

I'm sure it will be added down the line, but the bread and butter is getting a local party game going so to me it's not a huge deal if online is missing as long as the local experience is really solid.

Yep, I have 1600+ songs and I am not buying the game until they confirm it and give us a date. I play with people from all over the world and my friend list is maxed with RB players. I know nobody who are interested in Rock Band locally though, and I have no desire to play this game alone.

You can choose whether or not you want to play it as authored/recorded or if you want to freestyle. You can do this on the fly, as well. If a song has two solos (or five...), some can be authored, some can be Freestyle. Totally up to you. It's fairly rad to have that choice.
Honestly, I miss the Freestyle Guitar Solos when they are gone; I had this epiphany when we were doing the IGN demos in May and didn't have them in. I didn't think that would be the case; I wasn't entirely sold early on in development, to be honest. I am now.

I was all excited to get the full band bundle...but $250 is too steep for me, especially as someone who doesn't play drums. I also can't just put down that kind of money at a drop of hat like I could in college, now that I'm looking at buying a condo or townhouse.
Pre-ordered the guitar bundle instead. I'll grab a used mic somewhere down the line and maybe a used set of drums if there's interest from my circle of friends.

id you don't play drums getting the band bundle would be stupid. any old usb mic will work with the game.

Have to admit, the new songs are all pretty good. Nice mix of GOOD old and new songs. Uptown Funk is nice and one of the few songs I like featuring Bruno Mars! "Warrior" is the big highlight for me though. Fantastic slice of 80's.

Uptown Funk is GUARANTEED to be the song that casual gamers request most at parties with Rock Band 4. It's an inspired choice, and my current mild dislike of the song comes only from it being overplayed. It's still a great song.
Can you confirm whether 4 Amazon pre-order exclusive songs will be DLC eventually. I would buy a few of those but I only want to get the digital version of the game since I currently have working instruments and went all digital this generation.
