[RiZ III]

Do any of you remember one of the very very early trailers/footage from shenmue that actually had more footage of shenhua? It had Ryu leaping onto a moving train and shenhua creating some sort of explosion around her. I can't find it on youtube but I remember seeing it back in '98 or something. That footage actually shows a glimpse of how much more they had actually planned and developed of the story and assets than were actually included in the game.

Also I wonder if they'll finally include the unused vocal tracks from the shenmue orchestrated soundtrack in this.

Mildly concerned about what happened now that its crossed 1 million, and is some time removed from the e3 announcement. Could be front loaded with these fans, but half the world still isnt awake. Its just so close, just want to see it cross as quickly as possible..

It's weird how some people think Sony isn't going to put some funds in this. I doubt 2mil is enough to cover the game. This can show the numbers guys that they can back it due to fan support being there.

Sony probably made a deal with Yu, something like if the game reach 2M in kickstarted they put some more, and thats why the game shows only for PS4 and PC.

Changed my avatar because Shenmue III is the game I'm really rooting for. The Last Guardian is Sony developed, and FF VII remake is by SE, so we know that the game will eventually come out as long as they keep their shit together in terms of development organization.

But Shenmue III is the one that needs rooting for. It is the game that has us all involved as fans, for its development. And it will finally help move the story that has been left hanging for all these years.

I'm happy for Yu Suzuki and all the fans. The time has finally come.

This is really cool, but this better be the only time we have a Kickstarter announcement during an E3 show. Shenmue 3 is an obvious exception, but I give up if this actually becomes a new trend.

That would be even worse than announcing DLC, betas, and console exclusive pre order content at E3. C'mon, E3 is supposed to be for actual new games that we'll get to play in the next year (or so).

The kickstarter is indicating Dec. 2017 as a shipment date for some of the stuff. Depends on the scope of the game.
