Horizon: Zero Dawn Trailer (Guerrilla, post-apocalyptic pre-historic adventure)

This looked extremely impressive. Loved the creative use of weapons and the feel of this game. Is this 2016 or 2017?

Definitely the highlight so far for me. It was great to see TLG again, but I'd already seen it before and kind of knew what to expect and FFVIIR and Shenmue III are a loooong ways off.

I love the concept and it was great seeing gameplay and all. Very curious on the RPG mechanics and the building aspect of things. Hopefully GG can pull it off because I like what I see so far.

Actually found places to rehost these:

Still can't believe these visuals in an open world setting. 2nd and 3rd gen PS4 exclusives are really delivering on the graphical side of things.

I owe Guerilla Games an apology for doubting them, but I never and will never hype myself up for teaser trailers or leaked concept art for games without seeing any gameplay. Especially after being incredibly disappointed with Destiny and The Order 1886. Not to mention, their pedigree never jived with me with the exception of Killzone 2.

Kudos to Guerilla for not only showing a fantastic trailer but an amazing gameplay to boot. I don't know where co-op or the action rpg really fits in but its still early. Very excited.

Hope it works out and becomes a huge IP for Sony and allows us to hopefully see new IP franchises being born this generation from all of their big studios. Sucker Punch, Santa Monica and Bend, you're up.

Best wishes.

I have a feeling Grimløck meant that unlike typical female protags, she isn't hypersexualized, but phrased that weirdly.

In any case, she obviously isn't sexualized at all, and I for one couldn't be happier. Thank you, Guerilla, and please don't degrade this badass warrior by including bikini armour/outfits as DLC or something. :)

Holy shit, this game stole the show. I never imagined a world where the tri(co)fecta would be announced, but to think that something managed to TOP them? Lawd.

And you can totallly tell the tail could be cut off. Jesus, scratching that MonHun itch with entirely different gameplay. Please, please let there be a crafting system.

It was phrased weird, like he was calling her both atypical and hypersexualized. I guess that's probably not what he meant, though.

Her design is so good.

Oh it probably was bad phrasing but from context it made sense, and if there was a comma in between atypical and hypersexualized i would be siding with you because then it would be a crazy statement that person made. Without the comma it makes sense.

This looked really interesting. Aside from the big announcements, this was highlight of the Sony conference. I'm hoping they can deliver a substantial game to go with the great premise.

I actually like the chatter from the main character. It gives her a lot of character though I will concede they could tone it down a little.

I hoping she has a lot of context sensitive dialogue.

I am also loving the art design of everything.
Yeah I like her talking. Obviously not as much as in this video the entire game, but clearly it was a clever way to do a tutorial and teach you how to fight something. I'd love her to chat throughout the whole game cause little moments like apologizing to the watcher add a lot to the character and the world.

The character design is great. Practical clothing and not magically salon styled hair. It's thick and matted like it would be.

Great observation about hair. Very realistic for white tribal people hair. Can't wait to see what the other tribes are like! I'm super excited for the world building here.

She's talking to herself in that fight, not out loud (lips don't move when she's facing the camera).

Good way to give hints to the player and show off her personality.

I hated it... it was too much for me

I liked her voice actress a lot so the too much talking didn't bother me too much.

But I agree they could had really shorten it down a bit or explained more clearly. I still know very little of the game from what they told me, but I suppose it's intentional because from what I saw I want to know more.

her lips weren't moving much during the demo (unless I'm mistaken) so either it's an inner monologue, they haven't programmed the facial animations yet, or maybe the voice stuff was added in for effect for the demo?

The highlight of Sony's conference by an insane amount. And the extra stuff talked about on youtube with the devs...Oh ya!

Robot dinos are pretty bizarre, but the gameplay looks solid and a female lead in appropriate garb is always welcome. Shame about the title though.

I don't like any Killzone game except I liked KZ2 MP a little but this game stole the show for me. Glad to see guerilla branch out and do something like this instead of another boring killzone game.

My only complaint right now is the amount of chatter going on by the protagonist. I hope its toned down or it was just for show like Ubisoft chatter.

i didn't mind it at all... very uncharted like. I also love it as a form of feedback... like when she hit the robo-dino's critical spot and she says "got it", i think that helps with gameplay and reinforcing a sense of accomplishment.

Judging by the giant white numbers saying 2016 at the end of the video... :P

While that's true, I feel Sony knows they have gold on their hands, I'm sure Yoshida will give Guerilla as much time as they need. It's in the oven for a long time now though, so hopefully it makes it in 2016.

That compressed 1080p youtube looked good. But give me some uncompressed Blu ray quality :D
Looks fun though! Frickin robot dinosaurs!

I feel like she was just telling a story even during the battle so that's why the lips didn't move or anything. They just decided to show the game mechanics via actual gameplay.

Game of the show for me.

It looks like they already have a great template, Monster Hunter with robots and more accessible controls.
