Xbox One adds Xbox 360 backwards compatibility

And I'm supposed to just have faith that enough of the titles that I own will be supported that it'll be enough? No, I don't have that much Blind Faith. They should have at least released their planned BC list. People are making a big deal out of this, but like, less than 1% of my library is currently confirmed. How could I be anything but worried about it? And I WANT them to sell me a Xbox One. I truly do. But there's no possible way that this announcement is doing that in its current state.

I tried my perfect dark zero disc, says I can't play it. No update or anything came up I am also on the latest preview build so not sure what's up. Can anyone help?

Yes, the beta includes a only a few select games of the 100+ titles that will be available at the public release. And more titles will be added every month after that release.
Maybe the 100 first titles will not reflect your Xbox 360 library, but let's wait and see.

I tried Mass Effect last night and I couldn't play my save because I lacked the DLC on my XB1. But I tried downloading it from the DLC menu in game and it wouldn't let me. Meh.

There will be more games. You're getting entitled about something you never knew existed 24 hours ago. 0 to bitter in 3.5 seconds.

Don't have blind faith. If you considered buying an Xbox One for this wait for the majority of your library to be supported. Don't purchase products for hopes and dreams.

Personally I make a big deal out of this because I've got quite a few Xbox 360 games.

Yeah, I am waiting and seeing. This isn't really meant to be salty or anything. I just WANT to be excited for this and I'm not. I love buying video games and consoles, hell, that's half the fun of it for me. I have a wall of the stuff that I'm ever adding to with CEs and crap like Amiibos. So I'm hoping that it gets to the point where it's like "YEAH I AM GETTING THAT!" and right now I'm just like "mehhhhhhh not yet!".

Not sure about visuals being better, but reports from other posters here say games like Mass Effect feel better. Not sure if it's anecdotal or not until someone does some actual testing and comparisons.

I absolutely get that. The titles I really want to play haven't been announced for this program, but nevertheless it's still a good initial beta list. If the 100 titles for the public release is disappointing I will rage with you.

There will certainly be disappointing omissions as there was with the Xbox BC on the 360. This is still a great, promising feature that I figured was never going to happen with the hardware and with so many HD remakes.

Agreed. I do wonder if games with licensed music will be able to get the BC treatment. Something like Lumines would be awesome on Xbox One, but with all that music, I don't know if it would be even possible. I only really want a handful of 360 games to come over. Notably XBLA NBA Jam, Red Dead Revolver, Split Second, Battlefield: Bad Company, among others. As more games are added, I will be raiding the used game sections at stores.

I downloaded Mass Effect but couldn't load my save file because it needs the DLC installed. I hope they to get a solution for this but itsngoing to be a nightmare for those games with thousand of compatibility packs.

I get a message telling me to check xbox.com too.

I tried my copy of Perfect Dark Zero and that didn't work either but Mass Effect works for me. I know the discs work in my 360 and none of my discs have marks or scratches so they should be readable.

Makes me wonder if the discs are slightly different in different regions and MS hasn't added all discs for all regions yet.
