I didn't try it last night, but from what I read when you insert the disc it will download the game as it needs to download a special emulator version of the game. Once it's downloaded, yes, you will need to insert the disc to play, just like Xbox One disc games and 360 games ripped to the HDD.

Download profile? Could you not just log in with the to be used profile on your Xbox One? This will log you in as that profile, when you start a 360 game.
I don't know, if you're seeing a bug with downloading profiles - just an idea to prevent it from happening to you.

Tried the bc today for the first time with Super Meatboy and it works awesome.

I am on my profile, but when it launches into the 360 game it has no profile in the 360 mode. When I go to start a game, it says 'Download Profile' even though I'm already on that profile on the X1, I hit download and it says can't connect to XBL, and then the option 'Test Connection' comes up, I hit that, instant crash to X1 home screen.

Seems to work without issue for me, played Kameo (Disc) and Geometry wars (Digital) so far without issue. Had to xfer my Kameo and GW saves to the cloud in order to have them on XB1. Also I have more games ready for install than what is given in the list of compatible games....interesting

That´s interesting. I didn´t have to hit anything, everything went absolutely automatic. There was just a circle a very short ammount of time, showing something is synchronizing. Then the game startet.
I´ll try another guess Eventually there´s something confusing with your ports going on on your router?

It will appear in the "ready to install" part of my games and apps. You might need to restart your console for it to appear first.

I'm trying to play Banjo Kazooie and Perfect Dark. I'd imagine the other games woudl do the same thing.

Hm, sucks for me. I wouldn't think it was anything from my router..my nat is open, if thats what you mean. I'm not the most versed when it comes to that.

I just tried and it worked great. Guarantee you will see many games bundle previous titles like Fallout 4 is doing with Fallout 3 for free. Smart idea.

Yeah, I need to know this too. I popped in Mass Effect this morning, it installed and started fine, but when I went to load a save, it wouldn't start as I never had the DLC installed (all my saves were played with it). Didn't have time to check into it as I had to go to work, but would like to find out for tonight.

I haven't read about any solution to the DLC issue, and it's a pretty big one. I have all the DLC for Forza 3 and 4 and you can be sure that I want to bring that over with me. Some games are basically incomplete without their DLC.

Mass Effect 3, for example...you'd be stuck with the original ending!
