This is, for me, a Chrono Trigger level announcement.
Story, gameplay, art, and music are all basically all-star quality. The kind of thing that I would put together as a hypothetical greatest JRPG of all time.

And Fallout and Doom 4. But yeah, Sony really won this E3 of all E3s.
Hoping they really use the tech inside the PS4 for this sequel.

Yes, that's what I did and Nier was still one of my favorite games of last gen.

The PS4 games announced this E3 read like some sort of Fanboy wishlist. It's ridiculous.
Yeah, I actually don't remember the others being bad but that last one definitely made me NOPE. I think I was at least a few hours away from it still, but I feel high enough on adrenaline to maybe make it happen.

I got the platinum, and while I didn't really regret it... it is pretty brutal getting some rare items by leaving and re-entering a place. And not by a short distance, either.

Unconfirmed, but Sony doesn't appear to be involved, and the lack of an Xbone version seems to be mainly derived on the belief that it wouldn't sell there (which, considering the sales of pretty much every JRPG that released on an Xbox, is not exactly an unfounded belief). So in theory, there's nothing stopping Square Enix from announcing a PC version.
In practice, considering this show was as basically as Western as you can get, not mentioning the PC indicates that we probably won't hear about a PC version until after the PS4 is on shop shelves.

This is the greatest thing I never knew I wanted
You know.. I'm one of the few people that will defend Final Fantasy XIII to my grave (and I love the other two games) but I cannot deny that this was the best JRPG (in loose terms) of the last generation. I am so looking forward to this and kudos to Square Enix for continuing it.
