AMD Presents The PC Gaming Show Powered by PC Gamer with Day[9]

This made Nintendo's conference look absolutely fantastic.

There wasn't a Nintendo "conference".

EDIT: There are people on NeoGAF have a very hard time adjusting to things that strays of the formula and ideal of big stages and trailers.

That was actually a good show, though I think it needs to be a bit more focused to get more in over the course of two hours. Day9 did a fantastic job with the talk show format though. Probably needs a director or something in his ear pushing shit along.

Killer show, great variety of games. Needs a bit of fine tuning, but for the PC, I'd prefer this format over the super scripted format of the other conferences.

GOOD SHOW!!

That was nice conference, not many big games showed up (fuckers) but it had a lot of heart. Thanks to every devs who made the effort to come and the host, I had a nice time.

Please do it again next year ʕु-̫͡-ʔु”♬

Two and a half hours, actually. That's 150 minutes.

So far, there are 29 guests. On average, that is ~5 minutes per guest/presentation.

I mean, I don't know how much faster you expect them to go. Really the only way to cut the time would be to show less things, and they're already doing a disservice to PC gaming by "only" showing 25ish games.

This is why the other conferences have montages and then save the "developer come up and talk about your game" to the tent pole items and the new big announcements.

I really enjoyed it. Hope they do another one next year.

They pretty solidly covered the things that make PC gaming what it is in 2015, and I like that stuff.

Even the people watching in the studio kind of got up slowly in a ''this isn't the real ending right?'' Some proper confused and where the fuck is Half Life 3 faces going on at the end.

Well, if their goal was to have nobody watch next year's PC Gaming Show, I think they pretty much hit their goal right in the bullseye there. What an amazing waste of time.

This. What a borefest this was. I wish I had watched the Warriors/Cavaliers game instead.

Cool host though, he should do more video game-relating things in the future.

If they do another one, the only things they really need to change are the length, and maybe try to get more exclusive announcements.

I was kind of expecting a disaster, but for the most part that was pretty good.

That was good, just too long. Tighten it up and make sure it's less than two hours and I think this can become a thing.

gg, day9. Very good first effort and looking forward to seeing it be even better next year. Loved the laid back format, a perfect fit for PC.

I enjoyed myself.
There was some good stuff shown, and I liked the relaxed - but supportive - vibe.

I imagine the profile of the show will grow; I expect even better reveals next year.

Actually not a bad show but yeah length was an issue. Wouldn't mind have a bunch of shorter shows like this throughout the year, that would be way better for that format.

Super shaky, but Day9 managed to save those awkward moments better then most of the pros did during the other conferences. Hoping this happens again next year with more experience. Cut down the time a bit, beef up the tech, etc.

The content wasn't the most exciting stuff, but that's to be expected considering its the first go around. The format was great, and Day9 did really well, so I hope they continue to do these. Maybe on future shows we can get some truly megaton announcements.

I liked this conference.

It's a different sort of experience from the bombast and megatons of the big 3.

There's more than enough room for a PC game show type of thing.

I guess what some people are being a stickler about is the fact that it's "marketed" as a conference when it feels much more like an post-E3 debrief.

This was really awesome. I love that we actually got more interview content than just hype trailer after hype trailer. For most of these games I actually learned some useful details about it and gained insight into what the devs are trying for, which is something really missing from press conferences.

No, it really, really wasn't.

Well, depends if you think all conferences are great. Sure, in some grand scale the Nintendo conference was great, too, as was the Oculus conference. But to most people, this was a huge fucking waste of our time.

If I had KNOWN what this would be, I absolutely would not have watched. But how can I know without watching?

i'm not sure what, or why people like you were expecting differently.

PC is an open platform, there's not one corporation that invests hundreds of millions in games and products that they need to sell you. This was always going to be more of an informative look at PC hardware/software instead of a hype show.

It was rough yes but entertaining, and with good bits of information and reveal. Shout out to Day9 who ran the show like a true champion!

I expect a great show next year. Better planning, better visibility and better production value! I also expect a lot more companies to hold of some of their announcements for the next PC gaming show.

"Where was Half Life"

Not many new interesting content to see but in the end it was a decent conference. I hope they'll continue next year with more announcements and more or less the same format.
And a less boring/cringe/annoying start... seriously.
