Street Fighter V Tournaments and Showcase featuring: Daigo, Justin Wong, & PogChamp,

Anyone here want to start a list of questions? I'm going back to the Capcom booth tomorrow, I'll try to pull Combofiend off to the side and get him to talk.

Any limitations to the crossplay as in can everyone still be in endless lobbies etc or would it be for random ranked and unranked matches only?

Will there be endless lobbies, replays, online practice modes?

I doubt he will answer any of these yet but that's what's on my mind.

Just thought of something, can you block into parry as ryu? For example on multi hit moves where the last hit comes out slow

You mean like a red parry? Cuz if so I highly doubt it.

But if you mean you parry after the gap like the last hit of chuns sa2 is 3s I don't see why not.

Apparently combofiend said on stream the boob jiggle is a bug that happens only on player 2 in character selection screen... Too bad because it's awesome :(

Lol, just read that birdie isn't finished and some of his normals don't have a hurtbox on them and they completely crush moves. Birdie doesn't need to be nerfed, he needs to be finished.

Spent E3 day 1 trying out Oculus and Morpheus, then wandered around looking at everything and taking notes on what I want to wait in line for tomorrow. Didn't try SFV yet, will give it a shot tomorrow. Did pass by the Capcom booth briefly

Don't know if they showed these (professional?) cosplayers on stream, but the Cammy was ridiculous

Please please tone down Chuns breasts.... Almost embarrassing at that load screen. That's my girl!! Looks like a DOA fighter.

Apparently that was a glitch that only happens on 2p of char select? At least that's what ultrachen said that combofiend told them.

I played a lot of SFIV back in the day - I will definitely get this; probably for the PC. I am not too keen on fighting games usually, but something about the SF -franchise has always rubbed me the right way.

Just got a few questions:

1. Will the PS4 beta allow players to use PS3 sticks like the recently released USF4 on PS4?

2. Is the beta truly open worldwide for PS4 owners like sign up site would suggest?

3. If he could point out 1 thing he truly loves that SFV offers over SFIV in terms of gameplay and meta what would it be?

it seemed like cammy's specials use her v trigger while others like ryu and chunli doesn't? kinda unfair imo, mago used up the whole trigger with just 2 spiral arrows, both were blocked too

I'm pretty sure there are good reasons for that that players haven't tried out yet. Like, if her V-Cannon Drill is like her V-Spiral and travels through the opponent, you could do really crazy crossups using Hooligan to cross one direction, then use V-Cannon Drill to cross back the other direction, land back on the side you jumped from and then use ground normals to continue pressure on the opposite side of your cross-up.

Seems like V-spiral arrow is super safe when you know the range too, could be a really good get out of jail card even if they block.

Next couple of days should be really interesting as players try out tech.

Watching UltraChen now tons of good info must watch.

One key thing they brought up was crush counter which is new and if you want to max the damage off it dash in go for combo it makes sure that to hit your max damage combo you must land the next hit in true 1 frame (no buffering assistance). Otherwise, you can simply do something like c.MK hurricane kick which does not require the true 1 frame timing. <3 Damn love that. They also said it seems like only two normals per character can cause a crush counter state and these normals are negative on block so there is risk to going for it, also these crush counter normals are NOT bufferable so you can't cancel them into say V-Trigger to make 'em safe.

V-Trigger Canceling is in but some characters can do it after specials others can only do it off a normal (the normal they can V-Trigger cancel off into combo is character specific too). Example they took out Ryu DP > V-Trigger cancel combo said it was too safe, low risk high reward.

Option Selects as we all know can never be full removed from ANY fighting game. However, design wise SFV has input wise gotten rid of a ton that would work in SF4. Example Ryu can not option select V-Trigger with Parry something that with SF4 input system 4 button OS would work.

Anyone know if proximity guard is in this game? Anyone spotted it in footage yet?

Hope not. That SFIV stuff is kinda crazy...
Gonna have to watch some footage more closely and see now.

Can you ask combofiend on the possibility of dropping corner cross-ups...? Am I the only one that dislikes them?

So you're saying you shouldn't be able to jump over someone if they're in the corner?

That would slow down the game immensely. Can't let things become too easy to block.

They nerfed some mix-ups that auto-correct so even though they look like they cross-up, they don't and they included on-screen notifications to tell you which side a mix-up hit you on, so you're not left wondering.

Yeah that Cammy Cosplay chick deserves huge props outstanding job on the outfit and keeping in good shape.

Twitch chat was going nuts when she was filmed on stream. 22,000 new fans.

What's wrong with it?! Don't understand why someone would not like corner cross ups.....as much as I don't get some people mad that chip kills are gone! Guaranteed chip kills are lame as fuck

It's a corner. In a 2D game. You shouldn't be able to cross somebody up in the corner. They've reached the edge of the stage. It makes blocking even more ambiguous than it might be in the center of the stage. The person in the corner is already at a disadvantageous position, and now you've added the most silly to read crossup scenario. It's pretty stupid.

You still have options.
Neutral jump, dash out of the corner, anti-air, block(guess).

Blocking in other fighting games is a lot harder than Street Fighter (3D games especially).
Don't think it's a big deal.

Don't care either way though. Not opposed to them removing it.

I don't think it's that harder to block a crossup in the corner. And, to me, a character jumping over another and ending up on the same side is pretty silly

It's not something I would rage about if they took away tho, I just think it makes more sense to have then don't

What? Capcom don't listen to this guy.

Never said anything about not having options. Don't care about other fighting games, either. Not talking about those. /shrug

I'm just asking to put what they started in CvS2 back in. There was a bug that allowed corner crossups only on one side. haha

SFV was very entertaining to watch. I grew bored of watching SF4 tournaments mostly because of being hooked on the faster Marvel 3. SF4 was probably a bit too slow after that, and everyone played very defensively usually.
