This looks so so good. The only thing I question is being able to "scan" someone and instantly see all their stats and even skills. It feels outside of typical MGS abilities, but also takes away opportunities for narrative and character development (e.g. talk to the woman you save and find out she's a botanist, not just scan-and-chute everyone you meet).

You can only scan people and see their stats and skills once you've upgraded the binoculars.

You can't do that from the beginning.

Okay, sorry, I haven't played PW. I understand how it streamlines things from a gameplay perspective, but it feels jarring to me; takes me out of the world into a "oh right this is a videogame" moment. I hope at least you can talk to the people you "collect" back at base.
