I'm sure they had versions of the script with a cameo in mind.
Besides, it's just a cameo, so it would be easy to retrofit it into the movie.

Yes they do. We don't know the extent he's in Civil War but he's definitely in the film.
Hard to believe it will not be an origin story when they cast a kid who looks like he could just be starting high school. Will wait and see. IMO it doesn't matter who stars and directs the Spiderman films, they have all had terrible scripts. Not a fan of the original trilogy or the two ASM films.

Read the headline fast the firs time & saw Tom Holland & Spider-Man then thought they got the director of Child's Play to do Spider-Man. I mean a horror rooted director worked last time.
Then I actually read the article & didn't know any of these people associated with this film. So, I'll wait for a lot more before passing any judgement.

Wouldn't make sense given what has occurred in the MCU. You'd have to explain where he's been all this time (Ex: Where was Spidey when the Battle of New York happened). By saying he's just starting out, you avoid those potential plot holes.
