I wouldn't be so sure. It's pretty clear that WB knew about this game's issues on PC, and chose to send it out anyway purely because they looked around and saw how many companies *cough* UBI *cough* get away with tossing shit out into the wind. Big pubs aren't as smart as they seem, and when you're pinching pennies the lowest cost is the 'right choice' when you can see far but with no great exactness. If nobody pays for them to do stuff, it won't be because of their reputation per se, but because eventually big publishers will learn from each others experience with pro-consumer models like the steam refund that the old tricks don't work anymore.
Companies that specialize in barely-there work at cheap cost won't survive in the end, but we'll probably see this happen more than just now for a while, I'd wager.
