NA PSN Sale - Fantasy Flash Sale (Goes Live 6/26 or 6/27 - Ends 6/29)

I must be phrasing things wrong, sorry Tizoc :(. What I mean is this:
-If you transfer the game from PS3 to Vita, you can play it on Vita
-You cannot download the DLC for the game on Vita (due to the Vita not supporting PSP DLC for some stupid reason)
-The game isn't in the Vita PSN Download List, so that is why you have to transfer the game from PS3 to Vita.
-After transferring the game to your Vita, you can then put the game on Content Manger on your PC/Laptop, then you can just re-copy the game on your Vita from your PC (thus not needing a PS3 to play the game)

I hope this clarifies things for people. Sorry if I confused anyone :(.

You can transfer the DLC from your PS3 to your Vita too right?

I never tried that myself (the PSP games I own never really had DLC outside of Rock Band Unplugged, and even then, I could 'buy' them from the in-game store if I really wanted too), so I can't really answer that :(.

Edit: Guess I was wrong about that, thank you Chuy for answering that :D.

The prices are starting to go live I believe, although not advertised on the site yet. I added Bound by Flame for the PS4 in my cart and it shows up at 14.00 dollars

Disagree 100%. Different atmosphere from the first game, but the game isn't anywhere near as terrible as joe2187's post is.

I had put over 200 hours into the PSP version.

It is the fucking worst. The atmosphere is what makes the game terrible. Despite the gameplay and skirmishes, the characters, the setting, the overall tone and story is some of the most awful anime cliche trope nonsense to ever have been written. It's garbage.

The sale is live for the Vita store guys :D.

I am updating the prices in the OP, so if you go to the Vita PSN Store, you can see those prices for the games.

Will update the prices as the sale starts going live for the PS3, PSP, and PS4 side of things.

Have fun getting great games :D.

Edit: I just checked and there is sadly no PS+ discount for the tittles :l. Not to bad, considering how good some of these prices are :).

Valkyria Chronicles 2 is absolute garbage and one of the worst sequels ever

You loved the fact VC had no grinding required? Grind hundreds of shitty missions for random drops
You loved the huge maps full of strategic possibilites? You get tiny rooms
You loved the fact that every battle was unique and had its own map? re-use the same maps a hundred times
You loved the massive set pieces? All the bosses are human sized
Loves the varied cast of all ages and walks of life? Everyone is a high school kid!

But that is why I like it, and it is an excellent sequel to the first game in that regard. If you don't like the atmosphere that is fine, I wasn't a fan of the way it went either. Though while that turned the game garbage for me, it barely affected me. I like the gameplay too much.

Hm... This worries me.

WARNING!

DONT BUY Valkyria Chronicles 2!

IT IS TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE!
Plauisbly valid advice in a world where Valkyria Chronicles was highly influential and spawned many similar games, even superior ones, and despite VC2 still happening we had more, better sequels.

But we aren't in that world, so its worth skipping/speed reading VC2's text for the gameplay that's there. And on sale there's a case to be made for spending a few hours with it then tossing aside unfinished, having gotten your money's worth from it.

Yes, but it's very much a different story with different characters as you should be able to tell from some screenshots alone if you don't want to be spoiled too much.

My brother is telling me it sucks lol, he played it a few years ago and says the combat is purely luck based.

God damn it, Vagrant Story and Parasite Eve 2 on sale in the EU store where they run at fucking 50hz, was really hoping for these in the US sale.

Still enjoyed it greatly. And I've played and beaten both the first and second game.

that's disappointing :/ I wanted a VC experience on the go, so I though VC2 would be an ideal starting point. Should I really just play Valkyria Chronicles first and then the second or is it alright to start backwards?

I'll be one to say that I enjoyed VC2 and it got me to buy the original PS3 game (which I still need to play). The "tiny rooms" complaint, I feel is fine considering this was designed for a portable device.

& this is coming from someone who usually isn't into strategy games like Fire Emblem.

I really enjoyed VC2, and I think it's a great game. Will definitely buy it digitally for my Vita if the price is low enough.

but it's only $5, it's not like people would be wasting a ton of money.

besides, it might encourage Sega to continue the series
HA HA

came in here to decide if i should get VC2. im feeling even more confused now.

Heres the OT http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=405143

It reviewed a lot (a lot, a lot) better than I thought it would. The main issue I find most people have with it, is that the story deviates a lot from the first game. It got a lot more anime-y.

As far as the maps/size of the maps are concerned, it is a PSP game and not a AAA one at that. I had a lot of fun with the game, and for $5 I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the gameplay of the first game.

From what i see on my cart:

Valkyria Chronicles 2 $5
New Little King's Story $5
Tales of Hearts R $15

Dunno about the other games.

So I've heard good things about Little King's Story for the Wii, but is New Little King's Story on Vita the same game?

Vita one is updated, semi- sequel? I couldn't finish the game, the frame rate mid/later in the game was too much for me.

You might want to give us a bit more information. How exactly is it terrible when compared to the first one?

- Story is absolute garbage, and considering it's a Single player focused hanheld title thats pretty damn bad.
- Gameplay encourages you to grind, grind, grind...and grind some more
- Some of the classes were nerfed
- HIGH SCHOOL SETTING
- Avans Laugh
- AhahahAhahahaha
- This thing

I just bought it...... I enjoyed the first one on the PS3 a lot. What's wrong with the second one?

It is nothing like the first game, take the first game, subtract the war and violence, add in Naruto the first season and throw that through the anime trope machine and you get VC2

Buy the PC port of VC1, even if you're computer is shit It could probably still run it well.
