That would be cool, but just watch Sony try Green Goblin again :(

So many interesting villains that don't get any screen time.

In the five Spider-Man movies, Peter has fought the Goblin in three of them. And Harry was the Goblin in two of them.

I don't think we'll see Goblin right away. But we might see Doctor Octopus again.

Personally, I would rather see Peter fighting Mysterio. I think special effects have gotten to the point where you can do Mysterio properly.

(Kraven should be used as a bit player for Peter to defeat easily. That way, you can establish who Kraven is before doing some variation of Kraven's Last Hunt.)

I don't expect to ever see him in a movie, except maybe in a large multi-villain film, or vastly changed to give him superpowers which undercuts his appeal.

He requires Spidey to be established, which they can kind of ignore now since everyone's used to Spidey films and they're not going origin story route. But no studio is going to let a series start with Spidey struggling with a non-powered character in a physical sense. They always like to up the ante with sequels so he wouldn't fit in there solo either.

I can kind of see him working if they ever pit Spidey against one of his criminal Kingpin type enemies (though obviously not Kingpin in this case) as a hired tracker/ henchmen and paired with some other lower tier muscle character (Electro, Scorpion, etc). But the films have always gone toward the sci-fi and science gone wrong stuff, and I don't expect it to change in the MCU.

Of course this all depends on what happens in Civil War. If they follow that story, it won't exactly be a mean feat to track down Spider-Man.

There was no incarnation of the Green Goblin in SM2. Harry was antagonistic to Spider-Man, but it wasn't until the end of the movie that he discovered Norman's little workshop.

In TASM, there was no incarnation of the Goblin. There was OsCorp, but that's it.

Assuming I'm remembering all of that correctly. So that's 5 films, and there was only a form of Goblin (Green Goblin or New Goblin) in three of them.

Mind you, I'm not disagreeing, just keeping it in perspective.

If Matthew McConaughey is Osborn I am game.

Well me too and the character is integral to his story.

Mysterio would be great. I would really like Kraven and I wouldn't mind getting Doc Oc back into it too.

But ASM 2 is the latest Spider-Man movie, and did feature Harry going Goblin and fighting Peter. It feels like we see Peter fighting a Goblin every other movie. And considering we saw Peter fighting Harry in the last one, we should hopefully be skipping a Goblin battle in the first film of the new incarnation.

(Like I said, I would love to see Mysterio. But we'll probably see Doc Ock again.)

I bet we'll just see no new Harry and thus no New Goblin given both series have ended on him now. I can see them taking the Ultimate Venom route and making Eddie Brock the new friend that falls from grace, especially since they've always been keen on spinning the character off.

We'll probably get a new Norman though.

Like I said, not disagreeing, but I'm just placing it in perspective. It's definitely an issue.

I would love Kraven, but as many have said, it requires Spider-Man to be established and Kraven to be known and have a history with him. In order to get the real impact, you need a minor villain that Spidey had a tough time with on his own, so Kraven can prove himself Peter's better. Granted, you could replace that last bit with a random crime boss or gang, but it wouldn't have nearly the level of impact.

Kraven's Last Hunt is quite literally a perfect superhero story, in my eyes.

As for other villains, I dunno. Hydroman? Mysterio would be good. Or one of the symbiotes, though Carnage requires Venom to already exist.

Preach!

And I do want Mysterio on screen someday.

I just don't think that Kraven's biggest story could effectively be replicated or translated. They'd have to change a lot of it in order to work it, which I'm perfectly fine with. Film is a completely different medium and it's exposing the character to a whole new audience, so if they can find a way to do it, great. Otherwise, I'd much rather them leave it as is.

Best way to do it would be to make it the final film of a trilogy.

Mysterio would be a good bet. Maybe Vulture or Scorpion (though Mac Gargan is the eternal jobber).

I think the way to do Kraven is what they did in the Ultimate Spider-Man comics. Have Kraven come off as a joke that Spidey just trashes in their first encounter. That way, when Kraven comes back, the audience wouldn't expect him to be a dangerous opponent.

(The producer that was pushing for Venom isn't involved in Spider-Man films anymore. So I don't know what the odds are on Venom and/or Carnage appearing.)

That's effectively what Kraven's Last Hunt was, though. Kraven always got bopped, and then here comes this real as fuck storyline with this minor joke villain.

I want to see Doctor Octopus and Black Cat in the next movie. They can show that Spider-Man works as a street crime fighter but he can also deal with bigger threats.

Also, they can cast Kaya Scodelario as Black Cat.

Man, can you imagine audience reactions to Kraven's Last Hunt if they don't know about how it ends. Kids leaving in tears and parents being disturbed. It would be awesome.

As for other Spidey villains, after Mysterio I really want Shocker to show up at some point. They could maybe treat him like they did Batroc in Winter Soldier. Have him be the opening villain that gets put down quickly.

Shocker should be the opening of the new film. Have him robbing a bank and Spider-Man swoops in and takes him out handily, then SM needs to rush to get to school before the bell rings.

If they're going to go super young with Peter it would nice see the Vulture at some point. I think it could be a pretty interesting dynamic. I also liked the idea of Kraven hunting the Lizard and Spidey getting in the way but that doesn't seem likely at this point. I'd be up for Mysterio too. I'm not interested in another Goblin film since it's probably going to be the shit Ultimate version if they bother to do him again.

Kraven would never work on the next movie.

You need to set how "dangerous" and famous spider-man is to come someone to specialy hunt him down.

And will be kinda creepy if the next spiderman has a villain who wants to hunt a kid for no reason =P
