Fighting Games Weekly | June 29 - Jul 5 | Frauds Among U.S.

Running Garou Mark of the Wolves and Vampire Savior tournaments here at Ultimate Gaming Center in SoCal tonight. Should be doing Garou first, but waiting on Giby and Nocturnal to get here first.

Stream: http://www.twitch.tv/ROTANIBOR

Hopefully we can start the tourney in like 30 minutes. Vampire Savior is afterwards.

Back from AX. Played SF5 a tiny bit for Nash, Bison, and Chun-Li. Nash feels really weird. Definitely designed so he wouldn't overlap with Guile. Bison I'd need more time with, and Chun-Li is just really good, imo. Would've played more, but there's always Evo and the beta. I'd rather do other stuff there anyway.

I honestly hate watching streams on Nico Nico. Twitch or bust.

videos, streams, its just a non intuitive, insular, poor quality service. its just bad. the only good thing nico has given us is vids with the comments streaming by in the foreground

For a while I liked watching fg vids on there a bit better cuz they were always 60fps but that don't matter anymore.

I'm fond of the blue one and the black one, the gold one looks weird. Also I was talking about the summer alt, the alt before the buffalo, buffalo is super good too though.

This brings me to something I am very much interested in, with sf5. I wonder what the costume situation is inSF5? How they are going to handle it along with other things that aren't exactly character dlc's like stages and such. Maybe even music, announcers, menu's that sort of thing. And back on costumes specifically I wonder how they are going to theme these costumes if at all? Art style effects this type of stuff, so i'm interested has the change brought any ideas too the table.

1) not even the best suit color

2) we havent gotten to balrog's best alt, the summer one, where he decided he wanted to be Apart of the Dungeon Family/A jojo character, and has amazing color palletes.

You cant be trusted with picking good alt colours ever

Art is doing TSB today also. They are going to stream HnK.

Watching people coming from SF4 playing 5 was interesting yesterday. So many people trying to link various lights into a medium for damage. SF4 somewhat created a gen of people with bad confirms.

Are you telling me I actually have a reason to not get good at SFIV? Lol

"You can't link into mediums or heavies from lights"

"How the hell do I land them, then?"

"React to whiffed throw, good footsies, landing jumpins"

"WTF ARE THOSE???"

He didn't play in EVO 2014 either as far as I know. Haitani did and won with Sasq vs. Rotanibor's Zabel if memory serves.

Ah, thanks.

It will still have plenty of links, they are just different, and the timing is easier. Ryu for example can link three standing MPs and then finish with a standing or crouching roundhouse.

It's interesting because it will allow people who aren't good with special moves do good damage as well.

I'm really going to miss this. I play Evil Ryu and Yun and I'm always rapid firing jabs for easy confirms. But I think I can adjust pretty easily because I've already come to accept the fact that this will be home in SFV.
