As a fan of G1 and War Within, art style looks so damn good here. Its just too bad the shiny texture don't shift with the camera movements/character animations.. It's just static and only a tiny bit of shadow detail that isn't, unlike the cartoons.

I'm not a Transformers fan, but this game looks like it's using Platinum's skills to the fullest. Definitely interested! I think the E3 gameplay was a better sell than this trailer, though.

At the time all we had was Michael Bay TF design and games. The High Moon designs were refreshing in comparison.

I'll actually agree that the War for Cybertron had a bit of a messy art that made it hard to distinguish between the environment and characters. I think this was very improved for the second game though.

As for the art-style in itself, after suffering Micheal Bayformers' ugly insect like appearances, I think High Moon made a great effort of joining the old G1 designs with some modern ideas. Even got two Optimus Prime figures at the office from War and Fall of Cybertron.

I'll agree that War For Cybertron is ugly but Fall of Cybertron doesn't look nearly as bad even if it isn't G1 designs.
