Amazon Prime Day Deals

Guys as much as i want to believe, this is not going to happen lol. If it does ill be so happy as i bought 1, but lets be honest here, they would lose 185$ each card, and do you really think a company would allow that?

It would be the best retaliation to Prime Day ever, though :)

Yah, that's the predicament for all of us so far, I think. Confirmation number but no email. Can you check your order status page on Best Buy.com or see them in your purchase history? Doesn't show up in either for me.
No, I ordered 3 when the first message popped up in here and even then the order history didn't work. After reading that they took down the card, I tried purchasing 3 more and it still worked without any issues or error messages.

Best Buy reacting too hard :(

Why would anyone shed tears because a multi million dollar corporation lost out on some money because they priced something wrong? It's not like you're taking food out of the mouths of people working in the warehouses or something.

Stealing is stealing imo. So if they have money, its fine?

I am curious as to why nobody has gotten a cancellation or even an email from Best Buy. Any reason why that may be?

Probably nobody currently working in this in whatever department takes care of the website/eCommerce stuff. Likely it'll come in the morning.

Nobody is walking into BestBuy and stealing anything. There is a pricing error, that kind of shit happens, the burden is on the company not to incorrectly price their merchandise, not on the consumer to not take advantage of a deal.

You really need to chill out on the exaggerated morals here.

That said, Best Buy has the power to cancel these and definitely will. Just a matter of time.

I think they funny part is people really think this is not going to get cancelled, especially when you have people *potentially* doing this:

I ordered 2400 in separate orders of 600 at a time, all expedited shipping. I have almost $57,000 pending on my credit card. If they ship thats $480,000 worth of gift cards.

This is extremely likely to be fake of course, but this is fucking huge on Slickdeals, not just GAF. It's not going through.

Anybody else trying to check on their "Order Status" on Best Buy and it's saying:

"We're Sorry
Order information is currently unavailable. Please try again later."

How the heck are we stealing? We are literally buying something listed on THEIR site. Is it our faults that its a pricing mistake? We are not doing anything wrong by literally purchasing something listed, we have no control over the price listed.

I got 2 $200 cards. No confirmation yet and I still can't see my order history.

Please honor it BB. I want an Xbox One.

Please.

It's a little disturbing. I'm always a little paranoid that glitches like this are caused by hackers looking for CC information (because of course a shit ton of people are going to be trying to cash in) and the lack of a confirmation email is feeding into that paranoia. You would think emails would be automated.

JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!?!?!

They can't be serious. They just can't be. Also yea anyone ordering that is so gonna get it cancelled.

Not stealing. They sold them at a price, gaf bought them at that price.

It's not stealing. They priced it at a certain price, and people bought it. It's not like they're walking into stores and taking them off the rack.

how is this stealing

you dont pay to steal something that defeats the purpose

well it really isn't stealing. It is the price they have advertised. Sure 99.9% chance its a mistake but that does not make one a thief for testing the system

Like the Wii U that went for $40?

Guess its just me. I just personally can't follow through with obvious pricing errors, no matter the personal gain.

That's fine. But it's still not stealing in any way, shape, or form. It's not the consumers responsibility to make sure a company's wares are priced correctly.

The automated system is probably either down (either due to volume or to make sure nothing can actually go through), or someone's scrambling behind the scenes to get to the latter to happen as they search for anything that did get through to cancel.

But yeah, the CC hack-info is always something to be wary of.

Holy shit.

You guys are going to be stuck with a shitload of $15 best buy gift cards. Lol
I don't think they could do that. They'll either go through or be cancelled.

lol that .1% chance of this working if only ordering a couple just went to 0%. Not that I believe someone really did that.

Not gonna lie i am definitely a bit concerned about my CC info now lol. Still no email or anything. FML why did i go for this lol.
