Best buy is trying to tie up everyone's credit so they can't buy anything today. Clever!
Used my spare credit card for this, the one im not allowed to use:). If there is a chance it will work I'll try it.
Although if they did honor this they would have no value because best buy would go out of business.

I saw a newegg tweet earlier in the thread. Went to their site and can't find anything regarding their version of this sale other than a side banner. Is there sale shit just site wide?

Or not until 3am ET like amazon>?

I bought 20 with PayPal because I think their policy is not to take the money from your account until the process is ordered. So either I get extremely lucky, or more likely the order will be canceled.

If you ordered one they may have let it go through.

Ordering 20? That is getting cancelled.
I really doubt they have a person making judgments like that in the back. Either a system-wide error is issued that the item was mis-priced and all orders of the item are canceled, or it's not. In this case, it will be and everyone will receive a cancelation notice.

The CAG thread is filled with people ordering 10+ cards and somehow thinking that BB is actually going to honor it.

Yea, that happens everytime, entitlement and all that jazz.
This has happened at Walmart, Target, and many other places and usually they cancel the orders and send money : Walmart usually $10, the others differ. Worse case its usually free money.

They made $43 million in 2006 from unused cards. They'll be fine either way, but no, deals like this are never honored; The Walmart fiasco is one of the only ones and in that case it was people being quick in the middle of the night, doing in-store pickup before anyone noticed, and many got calls later trying to get them to return what they purchased.

lol Paypal gets charged immediately.

check your account.
I did. It's only authorized.

I only ordered one. Also just made a small order with the timberland fuck up last year. I'm hoping I get lucky like I did with Tims. Not banking on it in the slightest though.

Speaking from experience here. Back when Wal-Mart had its pricing insanity a year back they honored smaller orders but cancelled those that went overboard. Picked up a $300 55 inch Samsung for my Father and they honored it.

The good news is you will probably get some small gift card of some sort for basically nothing other than a pre-authorization hold and a little of your time.

Oh yes, eyeing that 512gb crucial ssd, but I'm not sure what the appropriate price is to jump at. What kind of price range should I be looking at?

That's not things work.

I've seen it happen with Amazon errors.
Those who ordered 1 would get it fulfilled vs multiples. Who knows.

Can't believe this, 2TB external drive all scooped up within 30seconds. On the waiting list now, hopefully someone backs out of the purchase.

I'm looking at that deal and all of them are $15. Yeah, there's no way Best Buy is going to honor that deal. The prices are too steep for that gift cut + all the same price so why wouldn't you just use the $200 gift card for $15 instead of the $75?

http://camelcamelcamel.com – you can check what the lowest price to-date has been.

Nope, UK. And some one canceled on the drive! Got it for the price of a 1TB drive (which I almost bought 3 days ago.).
PSA to others: always stay on the waitlist. Lots of people always bail out at the last minute, so you very well may get lucky.

is the Kindle Fire HD7 worth £60 purely as a web/email device, or would I do better with something like a Tesco Hudl or android/windows tablet for <£100?

grabbed a logitech C920 for half what I was about to buy one for last week, but my fucking internet is out so I'm browsing using my phone as a hotspot which is horrible

also picked up a £50 amazon gift card as you get a free £10 promo code on top.

No on the HD7. Clunky piece of shit with decent specs but in 1 or 2 years you will fucking hate it.

Tempting..

Considering 1TB = £62, very much so. I held out for a very long time with getting a external drive, was thinking about using my old 320GB one but it has too much important files on it. Also I couldn't be arsed to keep deleting and re-downloading games. My ISP must be thinking I'm insane.

Saw a commercial for this on the TV earlier today.

Something tells me all this "hype" won't be worth it, what with the good deals coming in at random times and selling out within seconds, and will be mainly serving to sell Prime subscriptions.
