Amazon Prime Day Deals

Took a leap on an LG G4 Phone for a penny with no contract. Curious if amazon will actually go through with it. pretty new phone for no contract and a penny

No, it was when Tesco was clearing stock in stores. All Wii U units, including bundles were £85. I missed the deal by like 20 minutes, got to my local and a lady told me some guy 20 minutes earlier asked and bought all the ones they had. F-ing scalpers.

Clicking on the upcoming sales (22 mins from now) is giving me their sale price now if there's anything in there anyone wants. (Canadian Amazon, dunno if works on others)

I do appreciate your suggestion and info and even though I have a couple of friends with an X1 and that it's now backwards compatible I'd still favour a PS4 over it (even though I might end up not getting any at all lol).

Sony holds nearly 90% of the console market (current gen I mean) in my country which means the used games market is bigger and that there's more offer/deals in stores.

Definitely get a PS4 then. It is a better console for straight gaming. When I had just a PS4 and Wii U, every gaming itch was scratched. It is a killer combo. I got the xbox as a gift and was pleasantly surprised. But since youre not in america, I wouldnt waste your time with an xbox.

I have a wiiU premium with MK8 in my basket for €199. Not sure if I want it though XD I have a PC and PS4 and only use my Wii when friends´ kids come over for MKWii and Wii Sports Resort...
 
Just noticed the PSTV bundle is not sold directly but amazon but only fulfilled..

Guessing that dashes my hopes of that being 50 bucks again.

No one is out of shape, I was just laughing at the fact that you posted "I don't wanna turn this into a console war thing" then proceeded to be a blatant fanboy and turn it into a console war thing.

You didn't give him info either, you just said that the Xbox is the best console experience. Great info?
 
the xbox deal with halo and extra controller is so geared for that traditional awesome couch co-op experience it made it all the more painful halo 5 is missing it. it's like a kick in the balls. i mean, will there be much use for that second controller in the future?

Amazon really screwed the pooch on deals for US gamers.

Anyone with half a brain should look elsewhere for deals. Gamefly, gamedealdaily, Dell, Newegg and Best Buy are all offering games cheaper than Amazon.

i had one line that sounded fanboyish in a conversation that already stated it was my opinion and that I was giving my perspective. Once he gave me more info I told him to go with a PS4 because its better for gaming. Surely I must be a fanboy for that as well.

I am going to keep my eyes on the sales throughout the day, but I would not be surprised if I do not buy anything at all..

Part of me is hoping that Amazon is just being nice and trying not to post insane deals while most of the customers are sleeping, which was a terrible practice they did a lot in the past.

I think there's an error with Amazon UK, the deal with USF takes you to the Destiny bundle instead when you click on it.

Super weak for video games, at least here in the US. Not seeing much better prices than normal really, and certainly not as good as can be found elsewhere.

Same here in the UK. I was hoping to pick up a PS4 for around £260-270. No luck. To say this is supposed to be better than Black Friday they're definitely not showing it. XB1 with Alien: Isolation was £270 on Black Friday. Nothing like that deal available today.

Maybe you are just enamoured by the "newness" factor..? I mean if you have had a PS4 since launch you likely have the bigger library there, so it is odd that it has now been shelved.. that or you are just stealth fanboying since you are trying to sway the sale of a PS4 in the favor of what is now your console of choice with a pretty blatant sales pitch..
 
Okay, this may sound random but I noticed this whole sale has been kind of a farce in america. I was looking at those bamboo tooth brushes that just went on sale (because you can always use tooth brushes). Before the lightning sale, amazon was already charging $13 for them, so I thought they would drop pretty low. The Lightning Deal price is $11 an theyre claiming a 58% discount. It seems this sale today is Amazon giving an extra few bucks off the already established price, using the percentage of sale based off the high standard MSRP that has been irrelevant for months and calling it a huge deal... =(

already told him above to get a ps4. its the better gaming console. no pr bs or fanboy arguments going on.
 
Still hoping for a deal on the LG G4 but the current list of deals don't make it look promising. I know more get added through the day though, usually the stronger deals later on, if I'm not mistaken?

If not I'll just order it for £435, happy with that price but would like it cheaper obviously. Waited a few days now.

People are letting them know too, I work at one of the warehouses and they called off the mandatory overtime for the night shift and were taking people off picking stations throughout the night. Hopefully the shitty deals continue :)

Oh no absolutely. People love the concept of getting a good deal as much as actually getting one. I remember seeing a study about this phenomenon somewhere. I'll have to look, but it basically goes like you would assume.

At least it's good for the workers. I don't envy anyone working in an Amazon warehouse with how shitty some of the work practices are.
