Haha, well done.

These threads are weird. Stuff like this is usually considered too juvenile for console wars on the gaming side, but box office threads are a different beast.

Also, people don't have to eat crow over not liking a trailer. People can not like a good movie. People can not like a successful movie. They don't have anything to eat crow over.

People still think a Marvel movie is going to bomb, L.O.L.

This no longer the 70's-90's Marvel, this revamped Marvel is more powerful than ever and the brand will continue to make money until the world collectively says enough is enough.

Are people meant to feel bad when they get predictions wrong? I mean I did think it would be bad and would bomb, but I'm in no way disappointed it didn't. i liked it a hell of a lot ,ore than I bought I would and I'm happy with that. This "eat crow" culture is incredibly strange to me.

Bombing is strictly a financial/box-office term. Before any further discourse gets mucked up by this misunderstanding, let's straighten this out.

He asked which standard, I said the quality standard. "Bombing" is essentially doing bad at something. You can bomb at making cakes if you wanted to, it's not just for movies.

I will make the crow thread when Ant-Man wins the Oscar for best picture and all of you said it would never happen.

I am recording posts. You all have been warned.

If that happens I will upload a video of myself licking my elbow. You have been warned!

The crow eating stuff has been brought up in the MCU/Ant-Man Production threads a few times through the year. He might not be kidding about actually saving that stuff.

Did you see how quick to the trigger OP was to refute another poster's comment with a link deep into his post history? It's impressive actually.

Maybe, I'm not too familiar with this shit. I didn't get a hostile vibe from the OP but again that could be my lack of education on the matter.

For the record, Michael Douglas wins the award for Best Supporting Actor.

I have now reserved my place in MarvelGAF Valhalla.

It's not a culture so much as it is handful of people edging for a year after doing an insane amount of work getting flustered over the opinions of others, finally gaining a release once some subjective validation comes there way.

In short, you worked for months to have the best oragsm of your life over the equivalent of stick figure porn.

Maybe culture is the wrong word, but it's especially evident over in Gaming that whenever someone posts a dissenting opinion he can be jumped on by people saying "get ready to eat crow". It's just odd to me it doesn't generate healthy discussion of the topic at hand, it's just well, exactly what you said.

So keeping my post in save file for that long and then make this thread? Still looks mediocre to me and still not worth it to see it in theaters. But man OP this is even low for you goddamn.

My favorite part of crow threads is the people that take getting on the wall a little too seriously.

"No one is going to see a movie with a talking raccoon!"

*GOTG explodes*

"Well I didn't see it because I'm not a Marvel sheep and that's all that matters!"

Isn't 58M one of the lowest opening for a Marvel movie? At least since they started beeing rather big

It was smaller budget than say, Gaurdians. I think this was right around their expectations. Of course they'd have loved for it to be higher.
