Watched much more of Evo than I thought I would this year, especially on the Smash side of things. Shame about the Marvel QF's/SF's.
Anyway:
Interested to see where Sm4sh goes in a custom-less world(?) and what kind of shake-ups are in store. Especially ready to see people duff with Ryu (if it's possible). I get the custom Villager stupidity now, hadn't bothered to search it out.
Melee was good but not enough Peach ffs.
The SF/Melee viewers pissing contest was the best/worst kind of jokes, proud of everyone who didn't get into that noise.
Should've watched GG. Missed a helluva show.
Despite not understand much and the SNES game being my reference point, KI was awesome. Good on Rico. Guess PC might be an opportunity to jump in.
The amount of shit being stolen continues to disappoint. Tape the money (or table, or Ness amiibo) to your nuts, sure, but at the end of the day, the butt faced shitbag who stole it is to blame alone.
Marvel was good fun. Any given Sunday but regardless, KBR played his ass off. Anyone who is salty about it at top levels should be sure to apply for their Masters in Ass-hatology. Surprisingly not hard to come by. Working real hard with sword guys or TAC infinites or Vanilla Phoenix. It's all supposed to be dumb and cheap; complaining about it is the epitome of whining. They just got duffed by something they weren't prepared for. Strongest there is indeed.
Hadn't watched Street Fighter in a while, so this was a surprise. The Elena heal stuff was...AMAZING. Hilarious. Had Momochi to win it all (safe bet), but Bee really deserved it to be honest. That stick fail was some serious WWEsports shit.
All in all, seemed like a pretty solid year once more. Would consider returning next year for V after a couple years hiatus, but we'll see how Cammy survives these few rounds of "polish." I don't like when characters are good this early, reeks of a plan to normalize (regardless of their promise to buff the bad instead of nerf the good).
Necalli the Super Saiyan Medusa who is probably Blanka's son. No thanks but guess he makes some people happy, so more power to em.
Considering a PS4 early next year for V, plus a stick. Game better be damn good.
You guys made it an interesting watch once more!

Almost wanted to go back into tekken. I had to stop myself. If in a easy as game like sf if I have a 14-24% win ration I'd be trying to kill myself going into Tekken. I had to control mahself.

Ricki has always been critical of things that aren't footsies base. Even more when its players brute forcing their way in and using the scramble situation.
I have seen ricki posted about being disgusted about various things and its rarely ever the player but the playstyle

She can be critical all she wants... at the end of the day KBR has an EVO title and she doesn't and she has been in the scene way longer while also being a training partner with Justin for so long.
This is the type of mentality which prevents many US players from getting better.

I was wondering about this. During the Capcom panel they said the CPT would switch to PS4. I thought it would only be Premier Events. But it looks like it's going to be every CPT Event. I wonder if Capcom is helping TO's to get PS4's. Maybe not free, but they have to be getting a really nice discount or something. I can't imagine them being forced to buy a dozen or more new PS4's on their own.

Used chat, they said my order didn't have a promo code attached despite me preordering during EVO time. Said it'll take until Thursday to generate a code for me. Told them it was too long, and Amazon said they'll try to get it to me tomorrow on Tuesday.
I'll give them til tomorrow, and then I'm canceling and just ordering though the PS4 and going digital. Sigh, all this for just a beta code.
