The original tweet didn't even specify whether she was targeting male or female nominees. Does Swift have a guilty conscience?
 
I don't understand some of the comments in here.

If Nicki Minaj was making a statement about black performers, she made it cryptic as all fuck by literally only making a weight comment.

What do people see in her? She's generic as hell. She seems like the type of pop artist that they use in fiction because they can't use real people.

Yep. Look at the shit Nicki retweet and favorited calling Taylor names and tell me how she is the nice one in this situation.

Taylor's even had Nicki come up and perform with her at one of her shows in the past too to a huge crowd.

Madonna doesn't matter. The fact is that the media worked hard to fuck Tidal because, to my knowledge, it has higher payouts and has less label involvement than Spotify. People applauded Taylor for taking a stance, but people were coming up with 1001 reasons why Tidal should fail though it's better for artists than Spotify or Pandora.

It's because it's owned by a black man.

She was only nominated for best female video, best hiphop video and best collaboration. I guess she felt that Anaconda deserved video of the year as well? IDK

Disagree. Tidal ran a scuzzy social media campaign, trumpeted a competitive advantage (quality!) that no one has really cared much about since MP3s came along, did NOT pay a higher percentage to artists and had no ad supported free tier. it just failed to compel.

Don't really care about this beef but

-It wasn't a race thing
- Nicki obviously talking bout Taylor
- Nicki can't comment on body image as her body is pretty much fake
- I agree that Taylors video does put way to much emphasis on the whole 'be skinny and beautiful' image
