I doubt many people will be interested a year later.
People played ff7 who don't give a shit about the rest of the series. It was a big deal in 1997.
On the subject of FF 13 even at its worse with the PS3 and MS best with the Xbox 360 FF13 still so alot more on the PS3.

So, the PS4 version will be the upgraded version with all the DLC.
Not happy about that. I'm hoping the year makes it less relevant at release time, because I wouldn't like to support it, but I'll end up buying it knowing me.
A year is a long time graphically.
Thats what I'm hoping. if the ps4 sdk gets an update by then, who know what can happen
Releasing this same month as fallout4 is stupid stupid move.
You're too kind Orthodoxy, but great minds think alike.Because releasing a game a year late at full price without any incentive will be a hard sell.
Edit: lol, the post above me speaks wisdom.
Scenes if FF7 remake isn't a year exclusive.
Personally I don't think it's a massive problem. If I'm still interested a year later I'll buy it, if not then SE lost a sale because of a poor decision.
I imagine the FF7 remake will be similar, if it makes it the One at all.
I dont think quality has anything to do with it.If it's a good game I'm sure people will want to play it.

Pretty sure most of Tomb Raider's sales were in Europe which skewed heavily towards PS3.
So? Ono came to Sony to ask for help not them.
Even though they are releasing on the same day, TR is still in the way different genre than F4. They are not targeting the same audience. They are not direct competitors.
Fallout 4 is every video game's competition, dudeEven though they are releasing on the same day, TR is still in the way different genre than F4. They are not targeting the same audience. They are not direct competitors.
Why does everyone think the PS4 will have DLC included ?
Why should SE give you all the DLC for free when they could also charge for them.
Selling *better* doesn't mean it didn't sell at all on the other platform. Businesses don't ignore that sort of thing. It still sold decently on the 360.I agree with you if that's PS or Nintendo platform. MS? I am not so sure especially FFXIII sold better on PS3 worldwide and better than X360 in US
This has been proven false.Apparently from what has been said CD needed the same help...what is your point here?
SE better include all DLC for PS4 version or sell it with decent price
Why would they say this?
Just once you'd wonder if there could be a thread for this game without Sony brought up in some form. There hasn't even been a single announcement of it for PS4 but that doesn't stop you from saying "oh I could've sworn it was 1080p, doesn't matter I'm getting it for PS4."
Why shouldn't I make a big deal out of it? If you ignore instead of rightly drawing attention or calling it out you embolden it to continue. Every single thread for this game has ridiculous port begging or shitting on the Xbox One version and the usual 'I'll get it for PS4' comments, which is nonexistent right now. It's one thing if it's officially announced, but it hasn't been.
I didn't realize speculation and assumption would be considered fact. It's irrelevant what MAY happen. This is a tech thread for the game on the only OFFICIALLY announced version and yet it's disappointing and people will wait for an as yet unannounced version.
Really? Because so far, there is nothing but assumptions and speculation, not facts. Instead people want to come to a tech based thread and shit on the game and it's visual fidelity and talk about unannounced versions that literally don't exist yet and champion a resolution that doesn't exist either. I mean more power to you, but what does that say about any meaningful discourse here then?
What if the patches are also timed exclusive and are staggered with the same delay relative to the platform's release date.At least I will have the GOTY version directly for my PS4.
No need to resist to the temptation to buy the original version![]()
Also I highly doubt most ps4 users will care about TR after a year especially coming after uncharted.
The whole exclusive thing is to help the console to sell.
Announced that is not exclusive before release will take some of these sales.
So it was a bad move for MS/Xbone... less potential sales.
Ok, well if that's the case, that would make sense. Still, it doesn't change the fact that Xbox players are receptive to a franchise like Tomb Raider. To believe otherwise is nonsense. (not directing this comment at you).
