I figure if (lol she's not even announced and the salt flows endlessly) she gets in they'd make some variation of SBS her super, though it'd probably automatic since people don't seem to be a fan of supers that require multiple inputs.

V-trigger could make her specials do hard knockdown, so she could setup 50/50s on wakeup. Though that could be OP. Maybe just make her SPDs faster?

Capcom should make their game how they want to and not include certain characters/genders because people say so, that's ridiculous. Sure, it shouldn't become a sausage fest but 50/50 only because that's "balanced" seems a bit weird to me, just let the devs do the work and after that we can complain if needed.

Ok, I'll answer you seriously then.

The reason people are flabbergasted with you insisting she's wearing 'pasties' is because Mika is essentially wearing a tube top. Admittedly her breasts are emphasised by the heart symbols, the costume ontop of this and her fairly generous figure but ironically she's actually showing less of her chest than neo queen serenity from Sailor Moon:

There's also the interesting disparity on sexuality linked to nudity and form when it comes to males and females. I've had arguments about it, but some would say that Zangief is 'sexual' due to not wearing much more than a speedo and some boots. Are you comfortable with your daughters seeing him out of curiosity? What would they make of Urien? Heck, what do you make of Urien for that matter? :o
 
I would wan't Mika in just to see how they would animate all of her wrestling moves. A lot of these moves would look wonderful in the SFV style.
 
Being in the background doesn't mean anything. Bison is in one of the background in SF 4.

Not that i think he's gonna make it in in the first 16.

I think that's a bit of a stretch, but it's the best I got. TBH I don't really believe they'll put this game out without more World Warriors than most of the speculated lists have, riddled with 3S characters from the Siliconera leaks instead. I also still think we might get Blanka and Ono is doing some reverse psychology with the Brazil Game Show Tease.

Left (yellow) box is SFIV vets, bottom right box is non-SF4 vets, top right is new characters.

Agreed, out of all the wrestling characters in fighting games she is easily one of my favorites. Her moves are straight out of Rey Mysterio's playbook.

Lemme just say that I generally like fan service, but I can see OsirisBlack's POV considering how Capcom portrays Mika, what with all the gratuitous buttshots and what not.* Regardless of what her outfit is based upon, it's not like they didn't choose to animate her showing her backside so much.

It seems like some are just passing Mika off as a goofy, over-the-top female wrestler, which is true. But after all these years I'm pretty damn sure Capcom also knows which side of its bread is buttered, and if we got Mika she'd probably have some choice camera shots akin to Cammy/Poison's SFIV intros.


*Yeah, I'm aware that Capcom does this with almost every fighting game female, but Mika is probably up on the higher end of that list along w/ Cammy.

I could definitely do without the Cammy camera angles :/

Funny thing is, they tried selling a figurine of Mika a good while back and according to Harada it kinda bombed. I've seen a few peeps on forums say that they're huge Mika fans but didn't buy it because the pose was too sexual for their tastes :3
 
She has one special move where she's purposefully showing her ass and that one is in TONS of fighting games.

She's not turning around for her win pose showing her ass (which is covered far better than Cammy, btw), she's not bending over, she's not purposefully turning around. Her win pose is her getting on a top rope, or picking up some tires and running off screen. None of her moves except the butt bounce do this. The character doesn't act or move in a sexually suggestive way at all. Her personality is loud, silly, and over the top. I'm not saying she isn't sexy, or that those things cannot be sexy, but that doesn't seem to me the intent of the character. Seems more like people projecting their own hang ups on Mika rather than those things being present in Mika's character.

Juri, a character who is wearing more clothing, to me is far more sexual than Mika could ever hope to be.

You mean Ono, not Harada I'm assuming.

Honestly I never viewed her as anything other than a silly wrestler, she doesn't come off the me as sexual at all, maybe her fans in general feel the same.

I meant Harada. He was using its dire sales along with "most of her 'fans' dont even know her real name" as an excuse for why he wasn't planning on including her in Tekken x SF :P
 
What makes you think that if Mika is back, that she would even have the same outfit or design? Some of these returning characters look noticeably different.

That's pretty ridiculous. I assume you're talking about the R. Mika figure from 2008. It's not the best-looking figure, for one thing.

This too. Don't have any major issues with them changing her outfit up (as long as it doesn't end up somehow worse) but I seriously hope she remains bubbly, energetic and pig-tailed :3

Well there is an adage about assumptions for a reason I suppose.

Anyway I like Harada a lot but that's a pretty weak argument.

I'm OK with people not liking her outfit for various reasons. But to pass off her top as "pasties" to try and strengthen his point (I guess?) was dumb, because it's obviously not true.

I'm also not in the camp that thinks skimpy outfit + I don't like it = big problem for society.
 
I so want R. Mika back just to see the salt she brings. This has already been a might fine taste but I want more <3

I think Dhalism and Sagat have outside shots at the main roster but I don't really see how E. Honda gets in on the ground floor just in terms of general popularity. He's also not like Birdie in that he doesn't have the "I never expected to see him ever again" shtick.
 
The hell is wrong with everyone why is everyone crying over sexy characters. If Capcom choose to include and nice backside or a nice rack on a female character I am not complaining. As for R. Mika I'm not a fan of the design. However I haven't played enough with her to know how fun her Playstle and moveset is.

In terms oof female characters my top 2 a Makoto and Juri.

I was not a fan of R. Mika when I first saw her design in Alpha 3. It certainly was a bit much but her play style is awesome once you figure her out and I think she'd translate super well to SF V. We need a run/grapple heavy character who's quirky and fun and I think she fits the bill perfectly. I'd be really surprised if she wasn't in the game at launch. If anything if she's not at launch she almost positively would be a DLC character.
